Should be all on the Crail site somewhere but a Focus RS and my mates R32 are a couple of examples lol
I'll get it on the strip and see what it can do. Its alright banging on about bhp figures but its on the black stuff that counts
Im not sure cos the last time it was standard was 6 years ago lol - on the Pipers a lot quicker, 428's iv never raced anyone so not sure. TBH tho mate im a bad example to compare as theres question marks over a potential problem with the car with the bottom end power figure being a lot lower...
Strip it and buy a light weight bucket seat, 2 if you can stretch it.
Exhaust will get you no gains and the stock brakes are more than fine for the road
Are they a bit hit and miss tho ? basically you'll get a good job depending if he's in the mood kind of thing?
Sure i read that a good few years back on these very pages..
Who's doing your mapping ?
That 14.4 time was was full interior, 25kg's of ice and heavy Speedline 2118's. Not long after I ditched all the heavy stuff and had the map tweeked and it was a different car but never managed to get a time. Defo would have hit low 14's.
Whens Crail back on...
I need to get it up the strip to comapre 1/4 mile results or find someone for a traffic like duel lol
Top ends really good just the bottom end thats flat although it seems little bit better than it was as iv lost the 5k kick so could have been the lifters bedding in?
On paper the Pipers and...
WHAT?, WHAT YOU SAY... ?? ;) :D
Nah seriously, if you think the Ktec's bad the Magnex was on another planet.
I can have the Radio volume under 5 and still comfortably hear the tunes plus it only really comes to life under load or high revs.
As Danny said, could be worth checking the heat...
Very happy with mine. No issues with the noise. Only really use the car for long hauls and its great. Old Magnex used to really drone on the ears this is peace compared !
I read on here that you were building another 172 to the exact spec as the above.
Did you manage to get a similar figure or was the above a freak kind of thing?
Geniune = Renault ;) - iirc their not too expensive either, not silly priced.
For the Gates cam belt im not sure. Birchdown maybe?
You dont want to skimp in this area its worth paying and doing it right. One slip up could cost you your engine so worth fitting the proper kit.
Cant help you with the place as it was bookmarked on my old pc which screwed up but there is a company over seas (Holland iirc) who do fibreglass doors.
Something R motorsport from memory
Yeah they do but they only time to stock Renault spec. My local one even offered to mod the pistons via the local machine place if needed lol :approve:
OP, From what youve said sounds like the map was just ecu based but RR'd test will give you a all round better idea mate
You dont fit these if your after nice light wheels, they weigh a tonne!
Really strong and look good although getting to Turini levels of pupularity now
Smooth pipes flow better and the Maxogen elbow has a few nasty deep ripples in so on the geek side of it the Samco technically should flow better but in reality bet theres not a jot of difference so probably only worth doing for the look factor
Mine sounds pretty similer to yours and we put mine down to a hairline crack on the head on the exhaust port side thus blowing gases through the system. No mayo as no oil and water were mixing plus 2 tubs of K-seal was doing F all lol
IIRC (few years back now so might be slightly wrong) start...
