IIRC magnisium wheels only have a shelf life of 2 years. They go brittle apparently.
No need to go down this route as theres plentyof far lighter alloys available for a fraction of the cost of mags
Sorry for the dumb question but just interested to know.
Are all ph1's fitted with 3 horn buttons, 2 x steering wheel, 1 x left hand stalk, or have i got a freak ? :o
You'd struggle to find Superleggera's anyway. Their like rocking horse poo in a 15
Ultraleggera's are slightly heavier but sure their also slightly stronger ? Was that not the reason why the super was originally ditched ?
Noooo dont start a new trend. It was found in the other topic not to make much difference :dapprove:
Last thing we need is half a dozen new topics a week on ''what gains to be had by removing the aircon'' ;)
Best thing to do is test drive options rather than listen to the usual waffle of crap on here.
Half the haters have never even been near a charged Clio, they base their opinions on peak figures and costs
Just a word on power pointless for the road posts by a couple.
This might be the case if you live in a city but for us who live in the sticks surrounded by A , B, roads, 44 tonne HGV's, caravan's everywhere you go during the summer, sunday drivers etc etc having a car with serious grunt is a...
From what iv read the experts on here have come to the conclusion that they cant see how it can physically fail. Not sure if they know what the actual noise is tho?
Think sideways danny has oiled a few which have done this with success.
IMO for what it costs probably better replacing the...
The guys talking out his ring end. Sounds spot on for a dephaser issue.
Buy new too. Not worth messing about seen as the next time you'll need to be in that area all being well will be 5 years time of 60 odd extra k's on the clock
Sorry to thread crash but is that some sort of aftermarket seat where your spring sits on the axle? (the black bit that goes up to the height of the 2nd coil)
Mines just like the top part, a rubber moulding. That looks a far better and safer fit for the spring.
Is it part of the suspension...
Yeah the 106 is a far superior car. The build quality is 2nd to non, you just feel so safe and compact in them.
Also their one of the most reliable cars on the road. I have mates who have never had a problem with them at all.
Also they have a bit of class. You wouldnt get chavs and neds...
Its up to you mate. Front wheels look far better pushed out that little bit further in those huge ph1 arches and the handling difference is greatly improved. Rears sit just right.
So far so good and iv been running this way for 2 years approx without problems. Theres very little exhaust movement and if there was the other 2 mounts soak it up plus would probably wear before damaging manifolds as its front to back movement etc.
