Had mine since new, so 6 years now. The gearbox developed a ticking noise the dealer could never track down so that was replaced after around 15k miles under warranty.
The dephaser also developed problems in the second year and it sounded like a diesel - again replaced under warranty. Other...
Tried manual gears with clutch over the weekend, was surprised at how it operated - I thought it would be much more complicated, but it's quite an easy to use system.
I was really bad at it though! I think it's one of those things that needs a lot of practice!
Aren't there two types of gearboxes for the 1*2's? Both with different speedo drive outputs? Maybe there was an issue with the original box, he had a recon built, but with a Quaif differential and the wrong type of box was used?
Clicking the hard drive icon does nothing, clicking the round arrow just brings up a little watch and the other arrow takes me to the normal home screen.
Hang on... She's found a disk!
OK, tried pressing Alt, and it shows a screen with a small round arrow button, a small picture of a hard drive, and a small arrow button pointing left. What now? (Mrs. still searching the house for a disk! Lol!)
The Mrs has sold her Mac, but wants to delete all the data on it before it goes. She dragged everything to the trash can (some 550,00 files) and pressed delete. I worked out from the speed it was taking that it would have been about 4 days to complete!
So what's the fast way (if there is one)...
I was trying out a few S class cars yesterday - GTR was easy to drive, McLaren F1 didn't have great brakes, the new McLaren MP4 thing was nice, liked the SLS because of the noise! Found the Weismann incredibly fast, but very twitchy!
Internet connection would be easy enough - I could just switch it from my freesat to the xbox. If I can't race on line without paying though what would be the point?
Also if all my game data is saved on the hard drive, would I have to start again from scratch if I were to buy a new xbox?
Yeah, I realise that, but I'm too tight to pay for it at the moment - I am right in thinking that you pay for the privalige of playing online? I will do it at some point though.
I'm properly into this game now, but being an x-box noob have a couple of questions.
Whilst playing the controller usually has a green light on the player 1 quarter, but sometimes it just flashes and spins around - what does that mean?
What are peoples favorite cars in the various classes? Are...
If Jonny Foreigner measures everything in km/h, like 0-60 and top speed, why would they use the quarter mile as a benchmark? Surely the quarter kilometer would be more up their street?
