As someone already said, a petrol Clio that isn't an RS doesn't make sense IMO, that's coming from an ex 1.2 owner. DCis are quicker, cheaper to run, easier to get more power from them and they're just as much fun to chuck around as the petrol...
Makes me LOL when clueless chavs try to talk about engine tuning. It's in the best colour for them at least.

The 200 has been absolutely spot on this year, touch wood it's not got stuck yet even on some pretty steep hills. The 172 was utterly useless last time round though, but as the rest said lower/stiffer suspension etc.
I bought a set of each colour from the same seller (couldn't decide what I wanted) and they lasted well over a year, and I drive with my lights on permanently, so can't see why not.
As a guide, I got double that from Arnold Shark, 03 reg on a bit less mileage but bodywork wise was a bit tattier than yours is. Was surprised considering a "mint" one can be had for £3.5k private.
It may actually surprise you what you'd get in a trade in, made a lot more sense for me to trade the 172 in standard than faff about trying to sell it privately for the sake of possibly getting a couple of hundred quid more. Although I'm not sure that will be any use to you? No idea how the...
