Don't need to sand basecoat unless you make a bit of a mess of it. Any little bits of dust that stick to the basecoat should disappear once you lacquer. Doesn't matter how well you prep it, with rattle tins you still won't get a perfect finish without wet sanding and polishing it once lacquered.
What they've done is fair enough tbh, mistakes happen and things do go wrong sometimes, at least they held their hands up and admitted it and were willing to rectify it.
MK3 phase 2 on here. A lot of Ebay shops will call it a MK4, possibly even a MK5 so best to look at the years they state it will fit rather than the model.
Nice one, be careful with it for a bit.
Be warned, coming from a 1.4, the first time you give it full chat through 2nd you will more than likely poo yourself, followed by giggling like a schoolgirl lol
LOL @ people disagreeing with one person who is a Renault Tech, and the other who IIRC worked at Renault for many years.
Pretty sure it was down to poor maintenance that all these catches started failing anyway?
You're meant to high build prime over the top of etch primer, ideally. Etch just acts as a middle man as high build doesn't like sticking to bare metal. Etch sticks to metal, high build sticks to the etch. Kinda sounds like you've not left one of the coats to dry properly though, if one doesn't...
I've no idea how anyone can break anything Samsung. Everything Samsung I've had/my mates have had have been indestructible, even after getting dropped in 3m deep swimming pools, going through the washing machine, getting covered in paint/thinners/catty dust at my work, they still work spot on.
There are more relays under the glovebox, 4 I think, one of them controls the rear lights and dash lights so might be worth having a fiddle in there.
EDIT: Too slow lol
Like it a lot better now, just closing up the arch gap and no more = perfect height.
1.2s are made for slamming, who cares what people say in the GC thread. Lose the bra though IMO.
You probably won't get much in the way of power gains from that sort of money, might be able to stretch to ITBs (just) if you do the work yourself.
As Brett said I'd be going for some top notch coilovers first of all.

Should give you a bit of inspiration. Welcome BTW.
Speaking seriously for a change, I seriously doubt the standard airbox is as restrictive as you think it is. Generally Renault get it right with their induction set ups on their hot hatches, as shown by their being little to no gain to be had out of the 1*2 lump by changing the airbox. I'd bet a...
It defo does turn heads, mainly due to how wide the thing is!
Was sounding lovely crackling and popping at the lights just after leaving Chatelherault on wed.
