Feel for you mate.
Strangely enough that's identical to my mates old Fiesta ZS which also seemed to be cursed, got nearly written off when it was 2 weeks old, then a deer destroyed the front end a few months later, then about a year after that it was in a pile up and finally got written off.
Another one for the advantage and disadvantage pile is the car will smell of fuel when idling, so it depends whether you like the smell or not. My decatted 172 stunk of V-Power when I was sitting at traffic lights, I loved it.
Is flushness not enough to deserve Hellaflush stickers then? Genuine question btw, I have zero idea about the whole hellaflush "scene", just know it looks fecking cool and I've got an itch to try it out on something slow.
Re: The original & the worst since 2004, well every other sods cleaned this weekend..
Stunning!
Black surround PH2 headlights maybe? Would add to the stealth look.
Everything I want to do to mine, you seem to do first LOL
How hard was the headunit to fit BTW? I've read there's a bit of faffing around with taking wires from the cigarette lighter or something along those lines?
I don't trust the trip computers in Clios all that much, my 172 said it was getting 32mpg average, the 200 reckons it's getting about 24mpg average, yet there's barely any difference in fuel costs. Surely I'd notice a big difference with 8mpg?
Yup, the usual story, the Germans generally do quality better than the rest of the world. You'll still get orange peel whatever you buy but it won't mark as easily.
BMW do a scratch resistant lacquer (as an option AFAIK) that is an absolute cnut to work on. You need special sanding discs to...
Not noticed it being any poorer than the paint on my other Clios, which were equally as sh*t as far as finished is concerned.
Good when you're a painter though, the fact it's so soft makes it a piece of piss to prep.
There's actually not much difference in fuel costs running a 1.2 Clio to a 172, but everything else is a lot more expensive, so if it breaks you're fooked. Which it will because it's French. So yeah, wait until you have more cash.
^That, much easier to manage getting it a bit wrong in a 1.2 Clio, do it in a 172 and it will just put you in a hedge.
Never forget the first time I took my 172 through second gear on full chat for the first time after 2 years in a 1.2, scared the crap out of me lol
Nice spec. The five spokes will grow on you, I was after a set of Speedlines when I bought mine but after a few months of ownership and seeing how many on here are spec'd with Speedlines, I'm quite happy with the standard wheels.
Warranty will be void. All they'll say is your shocks are knackered because the lowering springs put more stress on them. Take them off then take it to Renault.

EP3 CTRs are probably about the best matched car on the road to an RS, identical straight line speed until silly lose-your-licence material speeds, all down to the driver in the twisteeeeezzzzz.
