I'm looking around for a turini as a spare for those long journeys, but i do know they seem to be hard to get hold of without spening £120+ on a brand new one.
But if i can't get anything, does anyone know if a spare out of a similar age non-sport clio will fit and be ok to use as a spare...
why is it, i park my car soo carefully & it gets hit.
But when i drive my work van & park it anywhere it never does?.... i'm gonna have to start not caring about my own car!
This is one thing that really gets to me too, i park so carefully.. normally away from others, but somehow.. some way, people still park right next to me.. as close as they can!
At work is the worst, had my old (spotless) clio dented by the door of a car that was parked too close to mine.. not...
why are rear speakers a waste of time then??
I was gonna get some for mine, as i can hear the driverside rear crackling & sounding blown when i got the stereo on, so surely having a half decent pair of speakers in the back would improve this/ sound better than a blown standard speaker...
How about these?? http://www.empiredirect.co.uk/content/products/details/index~modelcode~API-SPS130A~dt~Amps+%2F+Speakers~st~In%2DCar+Speaker~make~Alpine.htm
i'm not gonna be any help, just wondering what you reason is for this? what the difference between the 2?
I think i read somewhere that my 172 cup HU is 22w x 4 and the cabasse is 40w x4, you know if this is correct?
If it is i want one too lol
Are you gonna be there when your mate installs them for you???
If you can, have a little nose around when your mate is installing yours & tell me how much of a pain in the ass it looks to fit the tweeters.
Like where the crossovers go, & how they actually fix into place etc...
I've just...
If it's had 1 service & that was about 1 year ago (that would have been the 12k / 2 year), you aren't due one yet.
You got another 1 year until your next one, unless you do 12k since the last service. (your next one is the 24k)
I'm sure this is a simple question....
Excuse my ignorance, but i have seen mentioned on here a few times about 'pre-reg'd' cars.
What are they then?
and what would that mean if your car was pre-registered?
i was going to go for the rainbow coax's but probably the next model down from yours.
I had decided not to change the HU as i've had bad experiences with theiveing bastids in the past & don't want to change the look.. (know what i mean) so i've settled with the standard HU, i got the denison...
We have been offered the fujitsu deal at work aswell..
Although the ones we had weren't all that good, you could goto pcworld & buy the same one for less....
I was thinking of getting a laptop through it, but it didn't work out a very good deal in the end.
A few people at work bought one...
nice one, thanks for the information. Glad your sorted them! i bet you are too lol
So you still gonna be changing them for comps up front then? if so you'll have to take some pics when removing the dash & fitting the tweeters :-) as there seems to be alot of people (including myself) that...
are chamois's a bit iffy to use on the paint then??? i've always used one & havn't noticed anything, but now you've got me worried lol
How much are these waffle weaves things then? and where can you buy them?
looks very nice mate.. just need the clear side repeaters :-)
Your pics make mine look a right state, think it's due a good wash over the weekend.
Take it easy & look after her :-)
I'm the same as you r-jay, got the dock cable fed into the glovebox & all is well.. got the pod in one of those 'skin' things so it doesn't slide around.
spot on
who told you it doesn't have the cd changer socket?... not them cowboys at halfrauds again is it... lol
I'm not sure what the FM modulators are like to be honest, i'm sure the quality won't be quite as good as it's fitted between your aerial & HU rather than plugging directly in.
Also can...
My cup has exactly the same thing....
when the weather is a bit damp, in the morning (after being sat for 1 night) theres a bang as the rear brakes crack off the discs!
And after driving any distance there are still rust rings around the rear discs!!
I'm just treating it as the norm now...
Spotted 2 clio sports on the M4 both around 12.30 - 1pm today
1. Black mk2 172 (i think) with a private plate E**** *** didn't catch the plate, just noticed it was a old style E plate. Travelling East on the M4 heading for swindon junction.
2. Silver 182 - CN05 *** It had tinted windows...
i insured my misses on my cup when i bought it...
She doesn't drive it that much thought, first time driving it, she pulled away while turning into a road and put her foot down a bit too much & that scared her a bit lol
Luckily we were on our way back form the pub, i'd had a couple of shandy's...
