I'd agree with you there, they're nothing like an R888 or A048-R to look at, but from what I read they're listed in the msa blue book as a 1b tyre along with the two tyres listed above.
I don't think they'll perform as well as the two above either on track, but I think they'll be a better...
Due to the extorsionate price of PE2's at the moment, I've decided to run Hankook RS2's as a daily (and occasional trackday) tyre. I've not used anything other than the Michelin PE2's since I've had it (if you exclude the Kumho V70A's for track a while back), as I've always found them to be...
All I advise is that they need setting up by someone who knows what they're doing. If my post where I quoted the £250 set up was misleading I apologise. I was just trying to say that if it was my money I'd get them set up by someone such as Mark Fish, Powerstation or similar. I'd never spend...
The custom bellhousing has got to be worth a look. Somewhere like www.aframeengineering.co.uk might be able to help - especially if there was going to be a sizeable market. The only problem would be the availability of the engines, and they haven't really been about long enough to warrent the...
As far as I'm aware it'll only fit a 182 that was originally fitted with cup packs. It's only a few (5?) mm lower than the non-cup set up.
Cheers Chris will get it on the bay at some point.
I've had exactly that problem with my 182. The ticking started with mine at 15,000 miles after a trackday where I wasn't being particularly sympathetic to the car.
There wasn't any performance difference and the gearbox worked fine, there was just an annoying subtle ticking sound in similar...
Let fate decide. Put the £200 on an online roulette table, all black, red, odd or even or something. If you win give him £200 back and keep the winnings. If you lose, erm - you haven't lost any money.
