Been watching the FC branch for a while now.. was a huge fan up to FC6 then moved to ubuntu. I am Certified in Red Hat so will have to take a look at their latest release.
Just for the record Ubuntu picked up and enabled Compiz first time aswell.
Maybe, but the would slaughter the quad core. And to be honest unless your running a server you will neither use nor need 4 cores. The core 2 is just as fast if not faster in the 'real world'.
whats the error message ?
your mysql server needs to be started
sudo /etc/init.d mysqld restart
then just run mythtv-setup to setup the backend. if your just using the one machine set your mysql database IP to 127.0.0.1
Exactly.. but to be honest i'm seeing more and more manufacturers 'unofficially' support their hardware in linux. Like Hauupauge etc.
Of course Nvidia etc already officially support thier hardware in linux.. even if there is an open source alternative. Its only a matter of time before a tux...

The 360 is a peice of s**t but when it does work its quite good even for M$. As usual M$ cant do anything without it crashing at least 20 times a day... but hey ho..
First off.. you need this website in your bookmarks

Now..
Is the software in an MSI format ? if so
Open it up with Orca, go to the properties and set your serial number in there. You can also remove things like desktop shortcuts etc.

DX10 does work on XP. M$ says it doesn't so you have to upgrade when all the latest games come out..
but a few guys spent 4 seconds and hacked it to work on XP. You can see the M$ money machine in action now.
You wont be laughing when the bomb drops ;)
Ok, deffinatly a dodgy stick of ram ! gonna have to send them back but 6 hours of mem checks and no errors ? weird !
As already guessed its not windows its linux, but thats not the issue.. its deffinatly hardware related.. just removed one of the 1GB sticks and the problem seems to have cleared..
Gonna try the other stick in the same slot.. if that works it may be something to do with it going into 'dual...

Just checked.. there is a pre-built binary for solaris but its a really old version.. build it from source and it only uses standard libraries.. nothing exotic.. so you should be fine.
Try x11vnc that will share the current session on the system. Normal VNC will not share a session and you would need to edit configs to get it to launch a new session.
I dont think there are pre-built binaries for solaris so you may have to compile from source.. which isnt as hard as it sounds...
