^ That's my housemates...think he is intending to remove all of them except the OEM R26 ones it came with. He only added the extra ones (plus some more which are gone now) for the Breakaway Rally he did last year. Does stnd out though - although I guess not everyone's cup of tea.
Some nice...
Sure it would be worth a packet now, the amount CSs are selling for these day probably worth more than the car lol!
Only criticism - you are another person to go for this towing eye malarky...whats that all about?! ;)
Mate just use the 476s if you have it, will be hard to beat. Unless you really want to spend the cash that is!
Not 100% sure if powdercoating needs the same cure times as conventional painting but would leave it a couple of days before sealing/ waxing to be on the safe side I guess.
It is always worth a light polish after something being sprayed, when I worked as a valeter at a garage on my gap year we had to polish every panel that had been sprayed and it was a heavier cut than SRP.
Apart from anything else it will give a better base for the wax/ sealant to bond with...
Apart from my lack of phone reception and decrepid handset I am very pleased with Orange though, and although they can never help me they all seem like nice guys lol!
If it has gone back to the primer or bare metal you are screwed unfortunately.
Depending how confident you are you can attempt a repair yourself but would be hard to do well for a long scratch if you haven't tried it before.
What b******s though, gutted for you!
I would give them a light polish first to clean them up and get rid of any overspray, you might even need some clay depending how good a job they did.
Then can just use any old sealant like you would use on the metal or otherwise get a specialist product. Chemical Guys Wheel Guard is a good...
I can't be bothered to do other people's cars for cheap, it takes a long time and would never do a half-baked job. Annoys me when people say "give it a quick polish" - because there is no point doing it unless you do it properly.
Anyway good work Pepsi, I found the first PC on my car made a big...
Yeah she was babbling on something about points...so theoretically if I spent say a grand in a month I would be eligible to upgrade in month 2 then, or not?
Just so pissed off with this contract: on top of not being able to upgrade my phone to anything better than I currently have, I don't have...
My dad sold his second one he got accidentally sent to a workmate for £120 I think a couple weeks ago, was the standard one not the 8GB version so not bad.
A little bit confused and pissed off with Orange.
15 months ago I ordered a Z610i as an upgrade, it is ok as a phone but (and I didn't know this at the time) if you get an upgrade before the end of your contract which is apparently free and just them being nice, you aren't entitled to the same...
Yeah heard thats the why, won't be bothering to do that myself though on the 172.
You got the GTi in the end then anyway mate?! :D Getting a nice detail soon I assume?!
All fine mate. You can dry before claying, sometimes I do and sometimes I don't, probably best to though to save any potential water marks.
Jeffs is great stuff, quick and easy to use. Not sure if it's as durable as the EGP but even if it doesn't thats not really an issue as you are using the...
Yeah mine has a couple of darker bits on there too, but don't want to sand them out as will have to do the whole thing then and don't want to lose the standard "looks a bit industrial" OEM look of the CS engine!
I find keeping a mug of warm water with a little QD in it is good if you dip the clay in there each time before reworking it, so any bits of crud on the edges will come off before you push it into the clay.
But yeah as a lube I use warm water with shampoo and/or QD in it.
^ You definitely can! Get one bit of grit or something on the surface of the clay and wipe it over a panel and you will be having to polish away some serious cleacoat after to get rid. A more aggressive gray clay in the wrong hands could be a nightmare, if they didn't use enough lube...
Just from using the Onyx versus reviews of the Collectors, but I'll stand to be corrected once I give the Collectors a go.;)
The Onyx seems fairly durable to me though, lasts a good 2-3 months if you give it a couple of layers I found.
