That's where I got mine from recently, they have Snow Foam in stock AND you get a 7.5% discount, so I would buy from there! Quick delivery too.
Edit: Just saw you already ordered from there...d'oh!
Mine was R reg and got it in 2003 I think...was a good little runner, never any faults except a suspension arm which cost £25 to replace and the 5th gear needed replacing which a guy at my dad's work did for £80. Bargain!
Think I did well with it though...bought it for £2300, sold it 3 years...
Need to keep the plastic polished, otherwise the polymers go yellow over time. This is permanent but might be able to improve a bit with some polish. By hand try using Meguairs Scratch X from Halfords to see if that helps or Plast X if you can find some.
Might be spark plugs or something to do with ECU. Mine used to be a bit jumpy at low speeds when starting from cold but changing the spark plugs sorted it. My mates old Clio had really bad problems with power dropping out though which was something to do with the engine management system.
I...
Come on it was my first car I was just pleased to be driving and having my own car!
Obviously as everyone on here are billionares you all had Porsches for your first car then "upgraded" to Clios later on....;)
It was actually a nice car with a few subtle mods...and in the coolest colour "Panther Black"...used to be scary in the corners though but that was the fun!
I'm sure it will be fine then...on my old Ka (yeah I know...) I had a close encounter of the pillar kind in a car park and absolutely fucked the bottom of a door and rear quarter, bent metal and paint scrapped off and that cost me about £200 to get done (although slightly reduced prices) I would...
Yeah I will do it for cheaper for mates but gotto charge something as products cost money and I can think of things I would rather spend my day doing to be honest!
I reckon you could get that fixed with Paintless Dent Removal...then if there is any paint to touch up you could probably do it yourself and make it look good.
Dent Devils or Axi Dent are good companies to try but check on Yell.com or something there should be loads to choose from, some will...
Don't get a PC getthe new Megs polisher, just the same or in some ways better, plus no transformer needed.
Can buy them from i4detailing and Clean Your Car amongst other places.
£150 is pretty cheap, a dealer can charge over £200 to do a glorified valet with s**t products and no paint correction. You get what you pay for at the end of the day.
If you can pay some guy £100 for 30 minutes work or whatever to fix a dent which uses skill but no consumable products then...
Rich you tired Blackfire on plastics at all? I use it on the splitter, fog surrounds and rear bumper strip and have used it around the mirror mountings too...leaves a great finish, if a little darker than natural, but lasts for ages and doesn't run at all really, just need to buff off well. Its...
s**t yeah forgot a drying towel, the Miracle Drying Towel would be what I would go for...think Car Wash n Wax and Clean Your Car sell them. Ditch the chamois, I still use the old Hydra Blade on some cars though, just not in the summer and never on black cars.
I agree, still got to follow upp with a mitt, 2 (or 3 or more!) bucket method and normal shampoo. Snow Foam doesn't leave a great finish!
Sure mate...I sprayed some WD40 onto the lance connector and some more into the Karcher gun bit...then put the lance into the gun, then whilst holding the...
I would get:
Shampoo - Chemical Guys Citrus Wash n Gloss
Clay - any medium coarseness really, use a mixture of shampoo, water and QD (QD is optional) for lubrication
Polish/ paint cleanser - Autogylm Super Resin Polish or Sonus Paint Cleanser or DodoJuice Lime Prime
Sealant - Jeffs Acrylic
Wax...
It was hella fun, didn't bother cleaning it at all just sprayed it off but seemed to loosen the baked on mud and stuff really well, I want to use it again already!
^ Was wondering what all that was about!
Update: After speaking to Matt on the phone (bloody nice guy) a tin of WD40 and enough muscle to make Popeye jealous, managed to get the lance on and decided to have a practice on the mum's Golf. WOW. Literally so much spunk started coming out I cracked...
Just spoke to Matt at i4detailing and he has a possible cunning solution...which will HOPEFULLY work. If it does then could mean this problem is solved once and for all, just a shame the manufacturers of the connection don't do it themselves!
Will let you know how it goes!
I tried that though. When you say the lance twists do you mean twists in the Karcher gun or the top bit of the lance (it seems to twist around a bit? Not sure if its meant to?)
I ordered it from i4detailing not Autobrite directly (i4detailing manage to sell it cheaper than buying directly too somehow...) but I know it can work, but the fact I was sent a sheet explaining how to either sand part of the Karcher gun down or drilling it(!) doesn't bode well in my eyes. If I...
Yeh no twisting...scared of snapping it by forcing it and don't want to sand in case the standard Karcher fittings don't work...yeah I do want it to work thats why I am getting so annoyed with it! Suggestions?
