Yet you'd be happy to struggle into the unknown and try and fit a Megane lump in :S
Vag 20v turbo lump has been done before in a Clio. Tons of tuning potential. Reliable, same dimensions as the F4R, the list goes on.
If the aim is to be the first to fit a 225 Megane lump in a Clio then...
Exclusives were only £300 more than the standard version of the ph1 ! Pretty good that for BBS wheels and full leather.
I have one of the 'rare' Iceberg ph1's. TBH unless the sun goes in, its hard to tell the difference against the titanium
Ph's 2 bumpers on a ph's1, yuuuukkkk
BTW how...
If folk are worried about noise just run a silenced decat. Exactly the same as a 'normal' decat bar less noise. Cost a bit more but then you cant put a price on your hearing ;)
As for a new exhaust, performance ones from Yozza, GDi, Ktec etc range from 300 - 400 quid
If you want cheaper, the...
Sure i read in terms of porting, the rougher the casting ie non RS, the better the result as theres more to work with??
Like any breathing mods, map it to get the full and best results
Who's cars that?? Where's the drivers side engine mount?? lol and how have they managed to get strut brace to run ermm straight?, has the engine been lowered? :S :o
Yeah thats the perfect set up in terms of induction track imo
Re: My Ph1 172 track sl*g Progress Thread
Held off going for a number 2 to read this - fantastic read !!
Did you find much difference in weight between the road wheels (OZ F1's) and your track wheels??
Agree
There's far too much concentration on silly CAF's and daft factory airboxes when the obvious restriction most people ignore is the 90 degree inlet bend
Well it isnt really is it? I mean, no ones gonna think your a dick if you drive a standard looking car ... Where as that cruising about is only going to attract chav interest
Its each to their own. Seen a lot worse
Going by the few 172 / 182's iv seen front end mashed the fuel rail area seems to escape damage.
Never seen one pole axed tho.
Do Cup's have the protective cover on ??
Does anyone have a part number for the ph1 172 O.Z F1 Cup alloy wheel please??
Markings on the couple of OZ's i have dont match up with Renualts codes and i want to make sure i get the correct rim :)
Thanks
Personally, never had a problem with my gearbox or it crunching and iv done well over 100k in it now, owned from new.
Think it all depends how much stick you give it and your driving style. That goes for any car
The biting point can be adjusted under the pedal.
Ebay, dodgy as iv found. Lots of sellers in a bad habbit of ignoring emails when you ask if the wheels are straight and true
Their pretty prone to bending are OZ F1's too which dosent help
Stealth means hidden. (factory Clio 172 look)
182's dont have hidden exhausts (stealth) obviously and pretty sure you cant get a after market stealth off the shelf for a 182
Crap. Rots through after a couple of year
Metal type from any good DIY store, at a fraction of the price and stronger. (not to be confused with the Green type one out of the likes of Halfords)
You only get the exhaust mounting kit included. Stock mounts you have to buy seperate, roughly 25 quid for the 2 from Renault
Uses stock mounting points yeah
Bought my Ktec last week and very impressed. Was the ease of bolting to the 182 upgrade that ended up swinging it for me as choosing a exhaust for these is bl00dy hard lol
Nice deep tone and not raspy or tinny at all. Obviously it wont have coked up yet so sound might change a bit maybe...
Out of interest, anyone ever got a genuine 200bhp with a panal filter + other mods ??
GDI's cam package would probably be a good starter for you. Not sure how much power it gives roughly
