The use of bigger single TB's has been used with good success on a number of different cars over the years but for some reason this area has never seem'd to have been a port of call on the 172 / 182's by the Clio tuners. Not really sure why?

This TB has been 'polished' up, the popular inlet mod by tuners is 'porting' the inlet (made bigger) plus proven gains to be had too due to factory differences in castings
Regarded by majority of Clio tuners and regarded, going by the bore sizes used, by off the shelf exhaust manafactures.
In fairness, someone who fits exhausts for a living on any random vehicle isnt going to know and have tested the flow characteristics of a Clio 172 in X Y Z state of tune are...

2.5'' bore is regarded as the optimum bore size to use on 172's / 182's in terms of performance.

Yes, the same as the standard Renault system hence the reason why the 'race system' uses the 2.5'' bore all the way through gives gains and the road system is a direct replacement :)

Agree, have a go yourself. Iv done a few rims with rattle cans, sanding wheels and filler and you honestly cant tell its a home done job!
However, silver is a problem to get right i found. Any other colour and defo do it yourself

How would you know unless youve had a 2.5'' fitted and mapped up to compare?? Very easy to say theres no performance issues but for all you know your car might respond better to the bigger bore size

Proper cold air feed ducting is overpriced and fails with in a couple of years. The fabric tares and the wires rust and rub holes in the material - Avoid imo and from experience
