Do you know what insurance company that is??
Best avoided like the plague if you get a company that petty.
I know of someone who had mods on which were not covered and he still managed to get a settlement - all depends who your with etc
Depends what exhaust you have. Mine is a Magnex and between silencer and the cat area there aint that much room to play with from memory.
Cutting into the mesh of that cat was never a option for obvious reasons :)
Is that with the Scooby you have in the photo tho m8??
Turbo cars rely on back pressure do they not? :)
Its blowing in 2 places where condensation drops out when its started from cold and if you put your hand over the area i can feel the gasses escaping.
Its not having a effect to the...
You wont get a 182 cat to fit matey without having to butcher the centre section back.
The amount needed to be lopped off the 182 to bridge the link cuts into the mesh (internals) of the cat.
Just use another cat from a different car or find a friendly MOT tester :)
There's only so much air a IK will suck in at any one time.
The important thing is getting cold air into it from a decent source.
One good CAF is all you need - in any case, space is limited in 172's / 182's.
Yes take the engine cover off and use it to hit your keyboard very hard till it breaks into a million and one little pieces then we dont have to put up with dumb threads like this ;)
Does a blowing exhaust lose you much, if any, torque or BHP ??
My zorst is a bit of a mix and match and on the odd joint it does blow slightly.
I can live with this as its not mega bad but it is their.
Ive a 1/4 mile day coming up so would like to know if its work sealing it...
Its because its constantly bogged down with page after page after page of induction kit / cold air feed topics so decent topics or requests like this etc get lost in among the crap.
Ramp for doing springs?? Axle stands work perfectly well
tbh if someone has to ask what way up springs go id be worried about them having a go at fitting some lol
If you fit mods to your car you might lose out financially in the long run but at least youve had the benefit of them through either performance or looks.
If you get rid of your car after 3 years you are not going to see any benefit of spending a extra 15 - 20 notes on some engine oil.
Most young lads on a forum will do a search, see what every other person is buying and follow a trend whether its correct wrong, needed or not needed.
Having the best in most cases is overkill when something regarded as average will be adequate for the average man in the street.
In my...
This reminds me of Vipers
When they first came out everyone said they were the best things ever and not one person had a bad word to say about them.
Certain tuners on here could tell you the moon was made out of cheese and 99% of folk would belive them just becuase it was written on a...
Its not 'essential' to replace any of the gaskets when doing this.
Ive taken off the inlet, TB and plemium loads of times in the past and never needed to replace gaskets 98% of the time
The one i would always replace though is the inlet to head one as its a right royal pain in the...
When ever i turn the ignition on or off on the car the Alpine head unit makes a buzzing noise for 3 seconds approx. Sounds like the motors inside it
Is this a sign that its on its way out as its never made this noise before??
Cheers
Mine dont tap and it pulls like a train with them. Cost per bhp they were a bargain!
Long terms effects of re-ground cams.. Will anyone own a 172 long enough to find out ....................
Probably 'thee' biggest advantage of a 182 mani is if your running a decat its a piece of p155 to change come MOT time compered to the ball acher of the 172 unit.
182 cat will not fit as its too long but you can use a cat off another car and it'll be fine.
My 172 never lost any top end, infact id say the opposite. Mine seemed to pull more higher up the rev range.
Like any breathing mods its not essential to get it mapped but you will get the best...
