So what would you expect ?? 5 to 6 seconds off for a 0 to 60 time of 1.6 seconds ??
Its not about 0 - 60. Its about torque, mid range and basically making it a smoother more responsive car to drive over standard
Does anyone know where the correct position is for the throttle cable to sit in the engine bay on a mk1 172 ??
Anyone got any pictures of their engine bays to give us a clue ? :)
I put a new one on yesterday but its kinked back to the point of the inner core being visible which cant be...
your evil nikki hahaha..nah its fine
Here's a couple more:
Complete bugger to keep clean and not to everyone's taste white on silver but the biggest improvment was the handling going down to a et38. Made a massive difference over standard :)
Go for Eibach if your after the ''off road'' or the 80's style jacked up look ;)
Apex are great. Had them on a year and ive turned the Koni's up to a harder setting cos i thought they were a wee bit too soft.
You'd be pretty hard to tell if a Janspeed de-cat was a de-cat or the real thing because it has the silenced box part on it.
As for the insurance. All you would have to do is claim it was part of the over all stainless zorst system.
And they dont seem go over the car with as fine tooth...
Dosent matter the circumstances, it was still proven !! ;)
Seriously tho, if its going to get a gain by sitting on a RR then there's a lot more cold air coming up through a engine when its actually in motion.
Do you not agree with having the cold air feed disconnected ??
Think your making a mountain out of a molehill mate.
Yeah you get wee stones going up but only dust sized particles and in any case its been proven that you get the best bhp gains by having the cold air feed pointing at the IK not actually connected to it.
I ran about with it connected...
Sure arnt. Got them on mine and they weigh a ton !!
Packaging said 10kg per wheel which aint light for a 15 inch rim. Proper racing pedigree and the handling difference with the et38 offset made a big difference on my mk1 172 :)
Rather than coverning the second lambda or buying a sleeve wouldn't it be better just to unplug it from its block connector so you can keep the lambdar and cable safe at home ??
pmsl...youve been warned hahaha
Well worth it m8.
It isnt that far once you get the foot down. :)
We went via the A1 too so ive done my training for ya haha
What was the story with the turbo'd 172 engined Renault 5 which was posted about on here a while back ??
Anyone got any info on how they managed that and the costs involved ?
Anyone know if Pro-speed do off the shelf back box's for 172's ??
Would save a long treck down south then :)
Im sick of the weight of my Magnex back box plus i want a tailpipe thats a little more subtle.
Yeah its a Janspeed.
For the minor bad points its still a very worth while addition.
One sensor Jay ??
Ive got a double cat late spec mk1 172 and its got one sensor before the cat and one after.
I originally had the sensors all plugged in, light came on so when it was in for a...
Depends if you want it just for looks or want to enjoy driving it.
for trouble free fun driving go 15's. For the show thing and cruising about, 17's
To me 16's look too much like 15's plus the tyres are more expensive
