Cheers.
Yes! The best part was the carbon fibre spoiler though... mmm.... carbon fibre!
Just a shame I wasn't paid enough to spend longer on some more of the details and add a layer of wax. The guy wants me to do his new Evo IX soon though - and I will make sure to take a fully charged camera...
E90 is the current 3 Series Saloon, E91 the Touring, E92 the Coupe and E93 the Convertible.
Current 5 Series is the E60/ E60 in the Saloon/ Touring guises.
Current 318 and 320s are 4 cylinder, yes.
Good work guys, lovely little collection of cars there - got to be the V6 still though! R27 looks lush though, good write up on it too.
How much did you get for your 182 Alan if you don't mind me asking? Clio Sports seem to be going for the cost of a quality daily paper at the moment :S Even...
As Rich says, trying to keep a perfect paint finish on a black car is pretty much impossible without a machine polish every so often. I kept putting off buying one as was happy with the results by hand and just being very careful whenever washing the car, but the results produced using a PC or...
I'd say go for the machine polish, don't have to buy one yourself there are plenty of people you can pay to do it for you.
Either someone on here or Detailing World should be able to help. Where abouts are you?
Yeh check it out, comes highly recommended.
The wide looks ok, it puts like a 1cm black strip at the top and bottom of the screen but looks fine to me. Amazing how a few simple changes can make such a difference.
Cheers mate. I tried the 1080 wide screen setting again and it looked fine on the normal channels and HD looks amazing. Also it has sorted out the screen size 100%, before some of the side of the picture was cut off, now it is framed properly so another bonus! :D
Absolutely no need to drive the car on an MOT, all should be done in the garage on a rolling ramp.
Would absolutely kick off if it was my car, would refuse to pay at least. Say something like "you have totally undermined the trust in your company, you had no permission at all, hate the smell of...
I know! I took my actual camera down as was keen to do a full set of photos - but bloody forgot to charge the battery from last time I had used it and it was dead, so annoyed with myself! It was a major improvement though, looked great in the end though, the water spots and constantly...
Cool will bare that in mind! The HD is excellent though. I was in the local Harman Kardon store at the weekend and was looking at their latest TV which was hooked up to a Blu Ray player watching King Kong. I can honestly say the picture was absolutely pin-perfect and crystal. Literally stunning...
She has been on holiday for two weeks and now trawling through millions of Hollyoaks and other equally rubbish shows.
Luckilly I have recorded my shows to watch later.
On another note did any of you watch The Enemies of Reason with Richard Dawkins on C4 last night? He is the daddy.
Oh right you reckon the 720 / 1080 might be the issue. My sister switched it back to non-HD setting but I will try it again later on the 720 mode.
Excellent advice, cheers guys.
Also - just another thumbs up for Virgins improving service. If you aren't on either Sky or Virgin, I would...
Not sure as its at my parents home, and we get the phone and broadband too.
For Sky at my place I was paying £18 a month for 4 mixes which had all the channels I wanted. Also got Sky Sports free for 6 months too!
Cheers mate, just changed the picture over to 1080 resolution and using HDMI component and my the HD channels look amazing! :D
However, the normal channels if anything look a tad worse (maybe my imagination as the HD looks so good) - would you recommend changing the settings depending on what...
Excellent mate thanks for that, will have a go after lunch! Will let you know!
TBH think Virgin is pretty good.. Compared to Sky, the pros are stable performance in bad weather, LOADS on the On Demand section (this is wicked) and you can record 2 programs on different channels even when...
Hi guys
I have a 40" Sony Bravia LCD (V series I think) and have the Virgin Media HD box and HD channels.
To me, the HD channels look really good but when I stay on them a sign comes up saying that I am not watching them in HD. I have checked the TV and the HDMI cable is definitely plugged...
Here is a link to the Evo detail I did... ended up spending about 5 hours on that fooker in the end for far too little money - but it was such a nice car couldn't stand to leave it in "ok" state.

When I got to the car, it was in...
Would think you might have troubles getting it out. Do you have 4" pads as they will give you a better chance.
Wouldn't give the car a "coat" of Scratch X either - you only use this to address specific areas - but as you are machine polishing you should have done this already.
As said though...
