Buff work guys - which wax did you use then? I used my PC today and considering it was my first time it came up a treat... ran out of time before waxing but will do that next week. And all my street think I am insane for spending an entire day cleaning an already shiny car... which is nice!:D

Candle wax works great for me. Paraffin adds a real slick shine to the paint.

Glad you like it... but metallic flake adds to the shine not detracts. Well, strictly speaking it adds to the depth of the paint but it improves the look compared to matt colours...

I would NOT recommend trying that theory!! Not the same thing AT ALL. To test this, try hanging posters up with some clay....not the same texture, desnsity or properties at all. Like Rich says most clays (in their relevant classes, e.g. light or medium cut) do pretty much the same job. The...

If you have a little more to spend I would get some clay, will dramatically imrpove the end result if it is in bad shape. You can get the Meguiars kit from Halfords. I would get this over the EGP really as it is better to clean the paint properly rather than layer products over contaminants.

You probably won't get too far for £25 unfortunately. I would get the AG Super Resin Polish and Extra Gloss Protection, a decent applicator and microfibre towels to remove with. If it is still 3 for 2 at Halfords, I would then get either Fast Glass or a plastic/ tyre dressing.
