Yeh works a charm... very glossy finish too, although mutes the flakes a little. Ideal on a silver though. A bit sceptical about 12 months protection but two layers will keep you well protected.
Also good on the wheels over a good sealant.
Yeh I know what you mean about polishing... I did mine with the Intensive Polish then the Final Finish (cut grade 2 version) and followed that up with Sonus Paint Cleaner then Chemical Guys Body Blitz sealant. But, as in something from a comedy film, I stepped out my door today to find the car...
Never before have I seen such suds... I am in awe! Looks very satisfying...
However might just get the £8 thing for the interim.
Also Rich, thanks for constantly telling me to get a PC, looks fantastic and got rid of 95% of swirls I would say. Pictures next week once I give it a wax and maybe...
Buff work guys - which wax did you use then?
I used my PC today and considering it was my first time it came up a treat... ran out of time before waxing but will do that next week.
And all my street think I am insane for spending an entire day cleaning an already shiny car... which is nice!:D
I just changed where I plugged it in and now works fine... very strange though as other appliances work where I tried it first? Oh well, main thing is it works. Just trying some combos now... will let you know how it goes!
Right...after months of waiting I finally got my PC. I had the plug changed last week and was working fine so I packed it all away to have a go today. But after plugging it all in this morning - nothing! It isn't coming to life at all. Am I missing something, what is going on?! At the moment I...
It's Pearl black... so looking for either plain black ones with a RS or CS logo, or something that looks a bit sportier than the ones I will be replacing... I have seen some in photos so I know they exist, but where?!
Hi guys...does anyone know of any decent RS or CS mats for a 172/182 at all? Starting to get a little worn in the front mats so looking to get some new ones. So far I haven't found anything particularly nice, but I remember a while back a group buy on some nice ones... anyone got any suggestions...
You do store your car inside though don't you mate?
How many miles are you and Lusty on then? I am almost on 34K... I reckon docked points for every thousand miles!
Same goes here. Bonus points for us or minus points for Rich. Plus mine is older too.
If all I had to do was clean my car in my garage life would be oh so easy! ;)
Yeh could be a good idea... although will be hard as a lot comes down to the photos (and camera)... but sure why not. As long as I win and receive one MILLION dollars this is fine... ;)
Or just work quicker... :rasp:
I just keep wetting the car with the hose as I go round, then just before I am ready to rinse I give the car a quick run over with the mitt again.
Just avoid washing in the sun especially if you have a black car, it can be soul destroying!
Glad you like it... but metallic flake adds to the shine not detracts. Well, strictly speaking it adds to the depth of the paint but it improves the look compared to matt colours...
I would NOT recommend trying that theory!! Not the same thing AT ALL. To test this, try hanging posters up with some clay....not the same texture, desnsity or properties at all.
Like Rich says most clays (in their relevant classes, e.g. light or medium cut) do pretty much the same job. The...
If you have a little more to spend I would get some clay, will dramatically imrpove the end result if it is in bad shape. You can get the Meguiars kit from Halfords. I would get this over the EGP really as it is better to clean the paint properly rather than layer products over contaminants.
Well at least you are enjoying yourself which is the main thing. Good work on the prize too, the cars on there are normally really good.
I would look to work on other cars though, £1200 on a Meg Coupe is a lot in my opinion but each to their own. I have probably spent about £1000 on m current...
You probably won't get too far for £25 unfortunately. I would get the AG Super Resin Polish and Extra Gloss Protection, a decent applicator and microfibre towels to remove with.
If it is still 3 for 2 at Halfords, I would then get either Fast Glass or a plastic/ tyre dressing.
That's the one I bought... came to £113 IIRC including delivery, and arrived in 4 working days.
I am yet to get extra pads (either 6" or 4") but as I am yet to actually use the thing I will see how I get on with the 6" pads first of all.
I used the guide 182_Blue created and was really...
I totally agree... whilst I don't own any of the current Nintendo consoles I really like how Nintendo has created the Wii and DS, and for once how they advertise. They show their products as entertainment devices to be shared by everyone: young and old, male and female, novices to pros. This...
