why the wii is the best console in the world...

just got rid of my xb360 cos i never played on it and got a wii with wii sports and zelda.

the reason its the best is cos my mam and dad are both playing two players on wii bowling, bearing in mind my dad doesnt even know what a computer is and my mam wouldnt have a clue either!

its the same as when i got my ds lite, with big brain game thing, they would sit together and have a laugh playing it, to even get my parents in the same room for more than 5 mins is a acheivement!
i know the wii doesnt have the best graphics or the best games but for pure fun its worth every penny!

I totally agree... whilst I don't own any of the current Nintendo consoles I really like how Nintendo has created the Wii and DS, and for once how they advertise. They show their products as entertainment devices to be shared by everyone: young and old, male and female, novices to pros. This really contrasts with Microsoft and especially Sony, who have made their new consoles aimed towards the dedicated games and technology fans.

But, judging by the financial figures Sony's arrogance in thinking that "PS is best at any cost" has really cost them - even the old Nintendo GBA is outselling the PS3, in both consoles and games.

Nintendo are absolutely rolling in it right now - Pokemon alone would keep them in the black for the next decade even if they stopped selling games and consoles tomorrow.

Played Nintendo I think.

Graphics wise if you have a HD TV then getting the components and setting it to 480p really helps. Would still love to have a proper HD console tho just for the hell of it but not sure how much multiplayer action it would actually get.
