okay I can get powerflow to make me up a custom letterbox exhaust, but does anyone know where I could get a heatsheild to fit it ? Someone mentioned the MG ZR as a possibilty, this pic below is that a standard MG ZR heatshield ? and do you think I could get powerflow to fit it ? if it is a...

Well just got back from a powerflow dealers round mine, they can do the exhaust that I want for £320, thats for a cat-back. Just looking to get a nice heat shield for the back when its fitted.

Just cause the engine is off dont mean the radiator fan couldnt come on.. only way to make sure it doesnt is disconnect the battery.

Hmm, tried e-mail motorsportworld a few days ago, still havent heard anything back from them but they do custom exhausts. Other option is powerflow, but heard bad things about them, its either that or I go for a twin 3.5" mongoose. As I cant find anywhere that does an off-the-shelf letterbox...

Well I will give it a go fitting myself and get a mate to help, does anyone know if the original 172 exhaust needs cut ? I heard that you have to cut the original 172 exhaust cause its put on before some other part which means you cant get it off without cutting ?

Alpine HU can improve the sound a lot but in the end your gonna need to change the speakers. If you dont want to go messing with the car, try buying an expensive set of 13cm speakers and fitting them. Watch the fronts though as they have seperate tweeters which is a top dash off job.

I am thinking about getting a mongoose exhaust for my 172.. (especially after listening to Rhyss sound clips of it) how hard a biatch is it gonna be to fit myself and any special tools I will need ? Also do I need any clamps or new rubber mounts ? thx.

Since I have had my eibachs fitted it hasnt done it.. that includes a 1/4 mile session at Crail. I think the sloppy standard suspension in addition to crappy engine mounts (I had a good look and the truly are shockinly loose) were causing too much movement of the engine, either do what...
