I run 205/45/16s on Konis/Sportlines with the later 'cup' wishbones and I get rubbing on the arch liner where it bulges over the bumper bracket. No real problem but I do find it annoying at times...
Battery on the way out? Funny things start happening in Clios when the battery starts dying. Although I'm assuming the radio/interior light thing has only just started now, as you had the headunit installed in October last year?
Sorry mate been flat out at work. The mount you are talking about on the top left side is the upper engine mount, there is also a mount underneath the battery - that is the upper gearbox mount. Loosen off the 4 bolts that fix the upper engine mount to the chassis, and the 2 bolts either side of...
Cooksport springs run lower than Sportlines right? Are you running a bit of neg camber?
Might be that with the lowered springs and a bit of neg camber the driveshaft has run out of room to operate freely in - basically 'binding' between the hub and the gearbox. Try loosening off the upper...
Yeah apart from doing a bit of a search of threads relating to thumb grips on the forum, I've sent a couple of emails to people who have had thumb grips for sale in the hope they still had them but yet to hear back. I'll post up a wanted ad and also see if anyone who has a wheel for sale would...
Hmmm... I really don't have much luck starting threads on here
Unfortunately - or fortunately - both my thumb grips are in pretty good condition so a bit reluctant to start cutting it up otherwise I would remove one of mine to take a scan of. I'd really like to have a go at doing this to...
G'day CSers
I am looking to 3d scan a complete thumb grip and then have it 3d printed - I just need one and I can then mirror the file to print off 2.
Is it possible to separate the thumb grips from the wheel itself? I assume so but not 100% sure.
Currently my thumb grips are ok but I have...
Even with postage it will generally be cheaper - although will also depend on the exchange rate. There's some excellent traders on here that can help you out with parts etc.
It's annoying when you buy a car and have issues with it, but PH2 172's are now getting up to 13years old - so tbh you...
Even if only one side works, the wiring should be there for both.
My passenger side was heated but the driver's side wasn't - when I pulled the mirror off I saw the reason why. The wires were there for it but the mirror itself didn't have the element behind it. New mirror with element, wires...
I've got the later model wishbones on my 172 dweezle and they were a straight fit - just got a bit of rubbing on the liner afterwards but I'm running Konis/sportlines and 205/45/16's...
Ha! Yes this - the sensor is right near the exhaust manifold so as said best to do it when the engine is cold.
The sensor also has a small silver heatshield clipped around it so make sure you put that back on the new one...
Dodgy speedo sensor - located on the rear of the gearbox, down the back of the engine. Not very expensive and easy to change yourself - just yank out the old one and push in the new one :)
Ok cheers - so is it the sort of thing that happens over time and can get picked up ie. the plug loosens gradually until it pops, so a loose plug could be spotted or are there other signs? Or does it just... happen.
Just curious because I have read on here quite a few times about this happening...
Hi Damian - congrats on the purchase!
Cliosport is a great source of knowledge on all things Clio but if you haven't already come and say hi on ozrenaultsport.com as well. There's a few Canberra guys on there too :)
As for the timing belt, with 50000kms and almost 4 1/2 years I'd suggest it's...
IIRC the guy who was paralysed was checking on the guy who was knocked down by the RR?
Anyway, being the USA I can almost guarantee that there will be a civil lawsuit against the RR driver...
Don't blame the Range Rover driver for doing what he did, but unfortunately if I was him I'd would be fully expecting a lawsuit from the paralysed biker and/or his family...
Woah. Down here in Australia it is basically that once you are on a racetrack you are uninsured and everything is at your own risk - both physically and financially (although there may be a few some niche insurers here offer some kind of trackday insurance but iirc they are usually capped ie. up...
TBH probably the best way would be to put a shout out for one on ozrs and/or check the for sale section.
Otherwise you could give a few of the Renault specialists a call - Colin @ Alpine Affaire in Ringwood, Carl @ Virage in South Melbourne or AutoParis in Box Hill and see if they might have...
