I personally think Autobrite Cherry Glaze is incredible by hand or DA. Has an almost infinite working time by hand or DA as it's more oily than SRP or Tripple and it leaves a brilliant result.
I want to brighten up the interior on the 172 but keep it looking fairly OEM. So with that in mind I was thinking of wrapping the vent surrounds but I'd like to do it in the same style as the carbon/silver trims that are already in the cabin. What type of wrap are on the existing trims? Is it a...
For a completely mild PH neutral shampoo, Lather is good and so is dodo juice born to be mild. I don't tend to fuss too much if it's strictly PH neutral (as long as it isn't strong acid/alkaline haha!) but just opt for one that doesn't say "Glossing agents/enhancers" or "Wax protection" on them...
If it were me, and I was getting the CR, I'd be maintaining it with a PH neutral shampoo and a carnauba based QD (as the wax is carnauba) or a synthetic QD such as Meguiars Ultimate QD (poor example, there's plenty synthetic QD's out there I've just not used many). BUT, as it's winter I'd go for...
Also not sure how other feel but I've always read/been told to layer a wax over a sealant, as a true sealant won't bond properly ontop of a wax, so putting sealant over CR *could* be a bit of a waste maybe?. Basically OP if you want longevity through the winter, maybe ask your detailer to lay...
I know, I didn't mean it to start a debate, just thought I'd offer a bit of background before the OP decided on an LSP as I'm sure you know and so do I that it's easy to fall into the trap of "That product cost £xx" so it must be incredible. To me (and it seems also to you going by some of your...
Yes I did read the question, and although I didn't give a specific recommendation on what product to use to maintain the finish, I was merely trying to say to the OP to not worry too much about price and hype when choosing something to maintain it with. Which is why I mentioned Temptation as if...
I'll go against the grain and say to the OP. Don't be so caught up and worried about what wax is being used, but instead focus on what techniques the detailer is using to correct/enhance your paintwork. Far too often the products and techniques used to actually remove defects is overlooked in...
Couldn't agree more dawn. I've had a fair few different cars and had some tidy, solid v-dubs but the rattly bonkers clio is my favourite. It's like a mischievous child. It will test your patience and at times break you emotionally and cost a bomb sometimes. But ultimately, you'd never change it...
Ok so decided to spend the afternoon giving the front end a mini freshen up. The objectives were:
- Try to somehow fix the broken headlight brackets (previous owner must have been a lump fisted idiot!)
- Wet sand and polish headlights to remove oxidisation
- Spray grill satin black as it had...
Yes I did have it on swapz as the cost of the dephaser etc really threw me off :( But in all honesty I can't part with it! Plus I've just got a new job that pays double what I was on so there's no excuses now so the clio will be staying! Mr partner will hate me for it as she doesn't see the pint...
Ok folks some small updates. P0300 code has gone. Haven't bought much in the way of mods just some little bits to keep me ticking as I'm saving for the dephaser, belts etc to be done, most likely by Dan @ SJM. Was toying with the idea of doing it myself but getting stage fright about it haha...
