What youre describing is a mismatch between that the ECU is expecting to see from its sensors and what actually "is".....
Pull the airbox off and a similar thing will happen......
Messing with flow rates either side of the engine will require a re-tune to make the most.
My experience of short shifts is nothing but positive (bad pun!). I spent £700 on the Schnitzer kit for my E46 S3 and it was worth every penny!

Mmmm, I have a Mk2 and pick up a cup next week. Ive checked over the brakes briefly and cant immediately see any differences. The brakes on the mk2 (and maybe the mk1??) are already laguna/megane parts.
Id tend to agree that not having ABS (particularly when thats all youve ever driven) does...

Ive had the bottle replacement also! (on my mk2) my local Renault dealer also fitted both strut braces (properly! drop the suspension out and bolt them in. Screws are a waste of time - think about the stresses its under), adj. konis, springs, full oil change to my spec etc.. etc... I even got...
OK, I got my act together and called them! Works perfectly, easy to fit on the cup (as with the mk2) made by B&M and k-tec are cheaper than demon tweeks :)

Out of interest, does anyone have a photo of the k-tec kit? Does it come with a new gear nob or can you just whack the original onto the linkage?

Can anyone recommend a supplier for good quality clear side repeaters to fit the 172? (the last set I got from Prima were v. poor, not glued properly :-()
