hmm, picked my car up on thurs - filled it to the brim, drove approx 20miles and the gauge showed i used 1/4 of a tank? either dodgy gauge or very, very thirsty
from what ive heard about some makes (no names mentioned) they were designed in a country where lots of wet weather isnt heard of and so the design hasnt really been with british weather in mind (rain, rain and more rain), it has been mentioned in some mags that before fitting get some clear...
its the same in a standard non-a/c car if you drive with the windows down, the drag effect of air going into the car reduces speed.
to get the best 0-60 have windows fully up and air con off
is it possible to buy an adapter to connect an alpine h/u to the standard 172 changer and display unit?
does anyone know what make the changer is?
2002 my
definately 12k or 2 years whichever comes first.
the renault dealer im buying mine from told me hed do this service before i pick the car up (10k on clock) and said it was just an oil change? doesnt seem much for a sporty type car
ok new development - ive been playing 2 dealers off against each other and today got a 172 for less than the cup.............
signed up today and cancelled the cup.
after driving both the 172 is a lot quieter inside, with the cup you could hear every stone being thrown up
i know the 172 has a changer under the pass front seat but dont know if the brackets available seperate or if renault sell a bracket to fit in the boot area
im going to be fitting my alpine h/u + changer into my cup next week and was wondering if there is an interface which will alloy the station to be displayed in the dash display. If i connect the h/u will i just get the temp / time showing otherwise?
also, is there a changer mounting bracket...
best thing to do is to run the cables through the bulkhaed through a grommet. I have an alpine hu and the live is supposed to be connected directly to the battery, best to connect the earth to the battery as well
Ok ive been looking for a cup for a week or so now and today finally had a drive in one, basic but nippy.
The dealer had a 52 plate cup with 2k but also had a 172 51 plate with 10k and both cars worked out the same price. I know the 172 has better spec but the cup is quicker and a better...
dont forget the cup has a different offset to the 172 as it has a wider track, also if you gat a 162 spare the tyre will probably be directional.
Better to get a 15" with a 55 profile (undirectional)
