Emission & engine managent light - 172cup

  RB 182
Both emission and engine management light have been on for some time, I took it to the garage to clear all faults and they both stay on with P0120 circuit A iir, and bank 1 sensor... I've tried both pedal and TB before and recently bought a new genuine sensor for the pre cat...

When I pulled away from the garage I stalled, restarted and to my amazement the engine management light went off! Then after half an hour of decent driving it decided to kick back in whilst on full throttle. Turned it off then on again and it goes away... Any idea what could be causing this? I've also noticed that a couple of times it will idle high (1.6-2k), then go back down when you press on the brake pedal... I'm guessing it might be running rich which is why the emission light is always on?

I'm getting some ITB's in the next couple of weeks so can get any running issues mapped out, will this current issue need to be sorted before mapping? When the light is off it runs pretty amazing, then randomly kicks in

Sounds like a vacuum leak to me , either inlet manifold or something !

I would recommend having it done before the remap because if the engine isn't running right won't be good for readings ! And safety ofc !

Take it to a proper garage and get it looked at !

Checked everything and it's air tight. same situation where you can drive flat out for 10-15min, then limp mode will kick in. Turn off and on again and it has gone... Would the previous map have something to do with this? It originally had a small air leak when It was mapped so the fuel/air ration might be cocking things up?
