They usually get stuck in gear & you can only select 5th & reverse . Its a case of removing the end cap & moving the correct rod until it un jams . Just don't make the mistake of pulling the 5th gear off :S there are 2 small rods to the side of the 5th these are the ones you need to move :)...
Looking good , was all ways going to try the newer style campus sport front bumper on one as there is no wing modifications required Would show of the intercooler nicely & with the right bottom splitter I think it would loo sweet ;)
Sport arb wont fit & as mentioned before unless you are going to fork out for custom shafts you cant do the wide track set up . The question is why you need any arb mods with the set up you are running ? as all I have done is fitted koni sport springs & I have little to no roll if any thing its...
Have had problems with the pumps in the past but they were all caused by people running there cars on the reserve all the time or constantly running out of fuel . In other words running the pump on the dregs or rubbish in the bottom of the tank or dry .
Your self and others have been very negative , if the person in question would like to modify there car then that is up to them & what they are asking for is help not negative comments :nono: after all we were all young once lol
Now for a more sensible reply  the single point injection limits the mk 1 engine so the only way to get more power from it is to improve the fueling . Or find yourself a clio 1.8 rsi borrow the wiring harness ecu & pipework , then mate that to a laguna 2litre engine & box & map to your...
Think like me you got had as there are cheap copies of these that are rubbish & don't work then there are good ones that do the job , its a case of getting lucky I followed a link of the forum ;)
Well the common thing that is occurring more on this engine is broken rings or cracked rings . I have one at the moment that starts fine , no smoke , but boot it when cold & you cant see behind it ,drive a couple of miles & it cleans up & you would never know it has a problem .
Would never waste time or money with second hand injectors , if you want a laugh look in to how Renault describe the conditions that new ones are fitted :bump: its imposable to achieve such conditions lol .As for testing them before they send them out pmsl you can take a set out of a running car...
So for starters did you fit new injectors or a second hand set ? if even one of your injectors is leaking back to much fuel you will lose pump pressure as it cant make enough to keep up on cranking , & would explain your ruff running .
Place your bets ,my money is on injectors as not only do the pumps shred up & take them out but the crystals that work them also give up . Leak off test would also give you a clue as to what is going on
Would have to be the 5 gt turbo for 2 simple reasons , if you think French electrics are bad don't go near Italian they are loads worse lol & fiats of that era did have worse rot problems than Renault , saying that finding ether in good nick is hard now . Got to still be a few old cup cars...
Well I have worked on both the 65 & 100 bhp engine & the internals are different You must also remember that Nissan run this engine at 120 bhp so there is a bit more gain than 20bhp lol
What is it you don't believe ?? try putting parts of a 100 in a 65 or 80 engine block then you will believe ,even the water pump is different in the blade size . As for £2000 for a mk 2 100bhp clio I wish lol just sold a 04 plate with 60,000 miles belts done, for £1350 lol,
Well the 100 internals are stronger & different , 80 box wont fit a 100 engine as the starter is to the front on a 100 & at the back on a 80 & there is no cut out at the back of a 100 block for it . As for them being hard to com by , well I have had 3 through my hands in the past 4 months , I...
Is it a new starter or a recon unit ? have had allot of trouble with recon starters , starter relay is under the engine fuse box besides the battery small black and in a row of 2or 3 depending on model . Still could be the battery earth lead as on the later model 04 on they cured the problem...
