I'd be raging if I'd spent 4.5k tbh, I did all mine for under 1k. Theres a lot to be said about shopping about, waiting and getting your hands dirty imo
Definitely running at full power :approve: but same readings again with no filter and WOT, 115 across all cylinders so must just be the guage. I'm not too bothered about that, it'd be too much of a coincidence for all to be down on compression and all to the same degree!
Yep was at WOT but kept the filter on, maybe that was it. I'll try again without after a drive later.
I mean any oil that gets onto the pistons, will that burn itself off or shall I whip the head off, clean and change headgasket anyway when I do the belts?
Definately not mate I wouldnt be betting money on it, not sure if itbs make a difference to the compression rating though. It was more the fact they were all around the same I was concerned about.
-Get a 12v on the horn under the passenger wheel arch- if it goes off its fine, wd40 and wipe the connections then try
- Just wind the headlights down, make sure wheel is at 0 on the dash
-Motorfactors or renault for load sensing valve, or soak it in wd40 or diesel or carb cleaner to loosen it...
Thats what im doing, I was only worrying because both were happening at the same time.
My silicone hoses should be grand, ive a funny feeling its probably weeping a bit at the omex's coolant temp sensor so easy fix if thats it.
If oil is getting in past the plugs above the pistons will it...
Jeeez I never even thought about the fact it'd be pissing down the plug holes , I just figured it'd be coming from below somewhere! Good shout, my mind is a wee bit easier about it just being the rocker cover now! At least I can fix that during a dephaser change
Never any water drips anywhere...
Flip sake, wouldn't be like it to have a decent run of no problems lol. Love it!
Well heres the run down:
I'm losing or using water at a relatively slow rate, from being filled half way on the expansion tank to getting to min takes about 2 months.
I'm losing or using oil at 1L for every...
Should be able to yank it out, or a rubber mallet if you have one. Yeah thats the carrier, might just be because my car is so low but I needed to unbolt from the carrier first and remove a bit and then remove the carrier from the block.
If you can get away with just removing the carrier right...
-Undo the hub nut slightly while the car is on the floor, jack up remove wheel.
- undo the track rod end and knock it free
- undo the ball joint bolts (easier than popping the ball joint out but either or)
-undo 2 bolts that are keeping the shaft in the carrier on ph2 shafts
- undo 3 bolts on...
Theres a new connection on the newer versions of the sensor basically. Try cleaning it first... its free. But at the stage of cutting out i'd say it might be a case of a new one
Is this on an itb'd car? The crank sensor jenvey use is from a focus blacktop engine only charge you a sh*t load more for the privilege of them sending it to you
Yeah definately needs someone who knows their shizz to own it, I'd love to but it'd be a case of getting someone else to help me. Something I havn't built and know inside out or custom boxes and shafts are beyond me.
Lol maybe i'm just re-assuring myself I shouldn't buy it.
Who's this Paul...
