Ok but surely 3mm isnt going to make that much difference? I suppose I could have the centres of the wheels machined out by 3mm but would rather not. Probably cost a lot more as well I think I will lower it first, see how bad it is and then maybe fit spacers

I had an Asley full system with a 4" tailpipe The system was a 2 1/4" bore and this thing was so loud I could set car alarms off. The only reason I took it off was because I did a lot of motorway driving and I just couldnt put up with the noise inside the cabin.

Mate honestly dont worry about it. My car is a phase 3 and doesnt have the vin plate under the bonnet, its on the drivers door frame. I was a bit worried at first but then I read in my haynes manual that it can be in either place on a clio.
