I am thinking of selling my clio and buying either a valver or a 2.0 megane.
It is an R-reg 1.4 Sport spec as follows:
38K miles with SH, 14" alloys with 4 brand new tyres, 12 months mot, cat 1 alarm/immobiliser, elec windows, sunroof, pas etc in blue metallic.
How much should I ask for...

I have a mk1 phase 3 clio. (Bug eyed front end)
Do you reckon that if I got some 16v front arches and some mk1 phase 2 headlights and bonnet the whole lot would go straight on? Or would there be loads of work involved?
I dont like the headlights on my car and thought about maybe getting...

Please tell me what you had to do to get those 17s on. I notice youve got 16v front arches, but what about the back have you had them rolled?
Also what offset/tyres are you running?

I know its been asked before, but I want to here it from people who have actually got 16s on their clio.
I have a mk1 phase 3 with the standard arches. I am thinking of getting new rims and keep changing my mind between 15s and 16s.
If I get 15s I am going to slam it 60mm, if I get 16s Ill...
If anyones interested I have an Ashley full sytem with 4" tailpipe for sale.
Was on my car about 6 months and I took it off coz I am gonna get a custom one built at some point.
It is in very good condition, and gives a lovely deep growl plus improved power.

I would have thought that the rear arches are what would cause the most problems as theyre not flaired like on the 16v/willy

Hey mancboy, how much does your mate charge to do the conversion?
17s will be a pain in the arse to fit. It is possible but to achieve full lock and no scrubbing you will need serious body mods as Rob said

To be honest I totally agree with what he has said.
There is no right or wrong answer, its all about interpretation. If worst came to worst it would be up to you to beat them in court.
Personally I wouldnt declare any internal engine...

Okay in answer to your questions:
1.) Whether or not your standard battery will cope depends on what else you are running and how loud/often you have your system cranked up. To give you an idea I am running 3 amps, 2 x 12" subs, 5.6" screen, playstation and a few other bits (speed detector...
I recently put my clio back to standard. ie removed the full system exhaust and hill power induction kit.
The car now seems much quicker, there is no flat spot and its much smoother to drive.
I am gutted, coz it seems like the exhaust and induction kit did little more than add noise
Best place is probably under the passenger front seat.
It will be out of the way of prying eyes, and the tray loading cd means you dont need loads of space.
Stick some strong velcro to the underside to stop it moving around.

If I remember correctly the entire tb has a diametre of 10cm Dont quote me though.
Why not just remove your air box and measure it?

With nitrous how long does it last?
ie how much does a 20lb bottle cost and how long could you use it for?
