So you are trying to say the Works Cooper S is only .1 seconds quicker than the standard Cooper S? According to the info I have the Cooper S hits 60 in 6.9 seconds and 62 in 7.4. Take a look at the John Cooper website and it says the Works S hits 62 in 6.6 seconds. I am going with Hartge...
My fiance then if that sounds better GR!!! But that makes me sound like a big poof. Also the 106 GTI is technically speaking my car as it is my money that has paid for it!!!!! Sucker or what?
Anyone who is in the know, can you reccomend any subtle modding like a bigger set of alloys or does...
Took the plunge and bought a new car to keep the Cooper S company. A 106 GTI. This is to replace my Fiances 1.2 clio as she was fed up with the sluggishness. With diamond insurance for birds it only costs 450 quid with me on it. The other way round with tescos it would have been over a...

I have a family member who owns a Racing Puma and to be honest it is not really that quick over your average b road and there are plenty round our neck of the woods. Nice looking car though. Has had it for about 3 months or so now and is already thinking of getting rid.
I showed the company car (Passat) some front seat riding action about 2 years ago with my bird and didnt have any what I like to refer to as shrink wrapping (Quote Jims dad from American pie) which meant it was a last minute pull out jobby. Pulled out a bit late and ended up making a terrible...
Yeah I will keep thursday free mate. No probs if you cant make it. Next week will be fine for me also. I might have to take the lead after reading your "Flames shooting out of my willy" thread!! LOL!!
Are you still up for a Cooper S vs Willy one night this week?? I am free any night this week apart from Wednesday........Oh and tonight as I gotta see Richard Hillman get busted in Corrie!! See I am a hairdresser secretly.
If so where do you want to meet up? Prince of Wales sound good...
Remember though that Cooper garages are experts at tuning the classic mini and not the BMW variety. It is a hole new ball game. Hartge have been one of the leading BMW tuners for 30 year +.
I would be suprised if it was 225 -230 bhp Tom but if it is I aint complaining!!! Think I would be cancelling the Hartge put it that way!! I honestly dont know whats going on with the schnitzer car and it costs 7 grand!!!! Quite an impressive torque figure though but it obviousley doesnt...

Just another question .... How many people off here bought their 172s from the main dealer at 15 grand or whatever they are?? I would guess that the majority are imports?? Maybe I am wrong?
2 mph makes up to half a second. CTR 0-60 in 6.4, 0-62 in 6.8, MCS 0-60 in 6.9, 0-62 in 7.4. (According to manufactures figures)
Yeah they are expensive for what they are but I had the money to spend and that is what I fancied at the time so that is what I got. At the end of the day do BMW...

I shall see how slow mine is when I go on the CLIOSPORT yorkhire rolling road day in April.. Maybe it is kicking out more power than it should (but I doubt it), cause it sure had no problems keeping up with Rhyss 172 when we went out for a rag in the peaks a few months back. Will be...
The works kit hasnt even been released yet titsize so there are no figures. Think you may be getting confused with Hartge. And it is 0-100 kmph in 6.6 not to 60 mph. In gear times are pretty awsome on the Hartge kit. 0-60 isnt that impressive for the reason of getting its power down. 212...
