2 mph makes up to half a second. CTR 0-60 in 6.4, 0-62 in 6.8, MCS 0-60 in 6.9, 0-62 in 7.4. (According to manufactures figures)
Yeah they are expensive for what they are but I had the money to spend and that is what I fancied at the time so that is what I got. At the end of the day do BMW...
I shall see how slow mine is when I go on the CLIOSPORT yorkhire rolling road day in April.. Maybe it is kicking out more power than it should (but I doubt it), cause it sure had no problems keeping up with Rhyss 172 when we went out for a rag in the peaks a few months back. Will be...
The works kit hasnt even been released yet titsize so there are no figures. Think you may be getting confused with Hartge. And it is 0-100 kmph in 6.6 not to 60 mph. In gear times are pretty awsome on the Hartge kit. 0-60 isnt that impressive for the reason of getting its power down. 212...
The Schnitzer one looks sh*te and it cost 7 grand!!!! Hartge Cooper S is quoted to hit a ton in 16.1 which is no great shakes but in gear times are awsome.
Unfortunatley John Cooper Garages are playing there cards very close to their chest at the minute with regards to the Works kit Tommy boy.
A cut up three series!!! LOL!!! I cant see the ressemblence myself. The Z axle on the back admittadley is from the 3 series but what else?? Enlighten...
How can you say the Works conversion is much better when it hasnt even been released yet?? I think it will be better though. It has got to be really to justify a price tag of 3700 quid.
LMFAO. A little dig back and the toys get thrown everywhere. Thanks for the back to those that backed up my case.
Tom.....what would make the Cooper S so much better?? A 3.2 straight six sat in the back seats??? Or maybe a set of go faster stripes.
That was quite amusing when I took you for a spin in my Cooper S on the snake Rhys!! Put the handling to its limits on that nice sweeper!!! Good excuse to nip in the ladybower for a coke to calm our nerves!!
Mat, I have heard about the Graham Goode conversion but not enough info to make a descision on it or not. 207 bhp is the output I hear?? I have only seen one test of it up against the Hartge and the Hartge came out on top. At 6750 revs the Hartge Cooper S kicks out 80 bhp more over the...
The spec on the works kit has not been released yet so it is unknown territory. I imagine it should be pretty good though. It will be around the same bhp as the Hartge kit but you get a new exhaust system and suspension tweeks and also full BMW warrenty.
I might still look gay Rob, but not...
The opposition never used to see the back of Leicesters on many occasions. I have done my fair shair of running with the Blades as a chabby. Doesnt really impress the girlfriend all that much though and it doesnt go down too well with the grannies when I am sorting out their purple rinses.:)
I think the guy with the V6 may have been shot dead a bit back. Seriousley. He lived in (Or his bird did) in Walkley and was shot through the head about 5 or 6 weeks since. He had a lot to do with night clubs in and around Sheffield. Think he "owned" the bouncers or something. Leicester was...
Thanks for the helpfull responses everyone!! Test drives over the weekend I think!!
I was orginally after a 172 but when I was looking I was only 19 and the insurance was plain silly. That is why I got a Mini Cooper as they were only group 8. Then I read about the Cooper S so I just ordered...
Girlfriend is after a new car very shortly and I have talked her into getting something nippy which can handle well and has plenty of go. She is not wearing a 172 unfortunatley as she has a clio at the moment and doesnt want another one even though I have insisted there is no similarity...
CTR is an amazing bit of kit but you need to keep revving the b****cks of it. Excellent build quality and engine. I have slated the looks before but I take that all back. Slightly prefer the 172s looks overall. In my opinion it is the wheels that let the 172 down a bit.
Yeah I have to agree too that it is becoming rather tiresome and tedious. Sorry that it has dragged on so long. I promise not to post again on this subject. I have to admit though there has been the odd quality post that has brought a smile to my face. .....................Whoops gotta go as...
Cupsize I can oficially confirm what I always thought and that is that you are full of sh*t. If you are lying about your mate with the S3s phone number and then your birds then it doesnt exactly fill me with confidence in believing all your toastings which you have made in the few months you...
_KDF..............Car is going well and have had no problems since I got it in September. Needs more power though which is why I am getting the Hartge conversion done. I have only had a proper race with one 172 and that was with Rhys off this forum. Over the twisty stuff there was nothing in...
