How about Healey pass in Cork and Sally Gap in Wicklow. There are lots of famous rally stages you can do and the best bit is that many of them have really good visibility due to the lack of trees. No traffic and you can ahve a ball. Watch out fo the hump backed bridges though. Some arent...
Buy it. I have 12000 km on my Ragnotti, of which a lot were racked up on the Nurburgring. Ive replaced the front brake pads and tyres, but no other expenses.
ADAC, the German equivalent of AA, certainly do respond. There are a lot of cars out there without spares now. And there are a lot of punctures that the mousse wont plug.
And the mousse certainly cant reseat a bead! Might just have to post a photograph of that incident...
Ony strange thing is that enormous turning circle. What is that all about?
I only drove one for 20km but it felt fine. Ive come across a few in my Ragnotti, but never one being driven fast enough to be entertaining.
As far as clothes are concerend, avoid wearing things with zippers, metal buttons or rivets. You probably should wash and polish your car whilst in the nude, to avoid scratches, and use nice soft cloths for the polishing.
I tested the mousse a couple weeks ago. It works but one of the cans leaked a bit. It brought the pressure up to 2.0 bar and the car drove well. I then blew the tyre up to 3 bar to be on the safe side.
In fact, it worked so well that I thought I might test it out on the ring, since it was a...
Well, sounds like financing isnt a problem. Now talk to a bunch of guys in the trade and find out what their margins are and see if you can live with that. You are not going to get anywhere near their returns for a while either. Remember that starting from scratch you will have no repeat...
My advice is dont do it. Unless you have a huge amount of capital and are one tough businessman. It is a dog eat dog game and at the low end the deals are skinny. Take in one bad trade, or have an engine blow on warranty and you worked that month for free. There are much better ways to make...
I would not get one. It is sort of an orphan with no real pedigree. At least the 2.0 Sports are used in Rallying and on the track in several classes.
If you are going to go for a turbo 2 litre it should be for either the Scooby or Evo. Nothing else comes close.
I saw the Megane today and...
Only took a week! Got a set of the originals and mounted 2 of them. Now I have 2 unmounted spares. Got to get another set of wheels now and Ill be set! Have a set of the Conti 2s on order for when these wear out.
Happy days!
Just ordered a set of the Conti Sport Contact 2 today. Also a set of the original ones as I can get them quicker.
Anyone got a set of Turini rims for the Cup?
Looking for the OEM tyres as the rears are still perfectly good. The Contis wore well with the increased caster angle on the front and lasted for more than 100 laps without rotating them.
They are 195 45 16 Continental Sport Contact or something like that. Im not sure if there is a special...
One flat and one well worn front tyre need replacing immediately. Despite the garage making lots of calls all over Germany, we have not been able to find any in stock. Any ideas where I can get some ASAP?
As far as I know the tyre is specific to the Ragnotti/Cup which doesnt help at all...
Ed
I got a flat yesterday, blew it up with the mousse, did about 15 laps or so, and it went flat again. Now the car is stranded at the ring whilst I sort out a tyre or two...what a royal pain in the arse.
There were two Cups there and I was tempted to borrow a wheel...
I have a 540i Touring for the family. All the bells and whistles. Which car do I drive for fun? All the time? The Ragnotti! Im no spring chicken but I like to drive.
Come on guys! Bin the damn things or sell them to some gullible kid to go along with his penis enlarging paraphernalia. They are rubbish.
If they were at all beneficial, they would be fitted to every competition car or else would be banned by the rules.
They are a con!
