Cheers guys. I ended up folding out the security tabs and it is much better but still not sat 100%. The left side will push all the way in but seems to have a force that wants to push it back out an inch. I guess it's the cables bunched up but have tried putting them in all different positions...

Thanks for the replies. Just if anyone is interested it was a problem with the head unit itself I think as I swapped it out with a different one and it worked fine. Kenwood let me down!!

Got a 172 Cup but am missing the badge that says Sport under the word Renault. Does anyone know where I can get a standard Renault replacement one or does anyone have one spare? I can easily find chrome ones but that doesn't match and I don't want that want the standard one. Cheers in advance.

Thanks for the links. Quick update: gear knob inserts added, rear lights changed for standard ones, Cup 172 badges added/replaced, head unit changed, steering wheel thumb grip half replaced (bodge job), i am off to sea for 4 months tomorrow so will miss my pride and joy immensely!

thanks :). Yeah he has done it before and as far as I know he has all the correct tools etc, a lot of his friends race Clios and he regularly works on them too so he has worked with them before. I have no reason to doubt him but appreciate your concern

Got my sticker through and fitted it and covered in lacquer. Looks decent :). Just need a bit more lacquer to ensure it doesn't peel off. Cheers for the help all

Hmm well I suppose the consolation of this is that the same guy that did the work was the one who got me £520 off of the asking price of the car... He is a friend (ish) and I honestly don't think he would rip me off but if you guys are giving me those prices I'm not saying you are wrong and...
