I'd just look on ebay for some navy blue tailored mats, was browsing the other month and there were plenty cheap.
EDIT: Forgot yours was an exclusive with beige interior lol. Same applies anyway!
Re: CLIO IV RS for 2013, Last news
I feel the same way Luke.
Im not sure how the arguments about being made to be safer and more technologically advanced to appeal to 'wider markets' is meant to be any sort of consolation (true though it may be) to people who like the simple aspects of...
Think I'd be looking at the new Fiesta ST over this which looks miles better, even though it's got a rather controversial front end too with its gapey mouth.
At least when everyone was slagging the looks of the 200 it was accepted that dynamically it was an improvement over the outgoing version and still a class leader.
Even if I warm to the looks i doubt I'll be able to look past the fact it's a 5 door automatic :(
Im sure you will testify that a 172 of either variety is not raw... A 106 gti on the other hand!!
Love my ph1, like danny says they do everything so well. That said I also admire the ph2 but couldn't justify changing to one.
Interior comments I never get, much prefer the clocks, centre...
Re: My new project - 106 GTI
I ran a 3" pugsport on mine just to be a bit different, everyone goes for the 2. Looked better and sounded less tinny.
I later got tired of the racket and put on a twin silenced magnex with 4-2-1 manifold and decat and that sounded the best I thought.
Re: My new project - 106 GTI
106 gti's are never a hit with the ladies. Probably the main reason I got shot of mine, as daft as it sounds, no one who doesn't know their cars will take it seriously, but there we are.
Have fun and hit some decent country lanes, that's where these do the business!
I'm with you on this gally, I think its a well intended car and has a lot to offer. I actually reckon its the most positive car in Peugeots current line up, although hopefully the 208 gti will lift things for them a bit.
The difference is these are actually meant to be half decent to drive...
Exactly what I do, car looks gleaming after that and I always get compliments on how clean it looks. I think the QD makes the difference to the shine after a wash.
My personal favourite is Optimum. Buy it in concentrate, dilute it down, lasts ages! Smells beautiful and wipes away easy as you like.
I find if you apply a decent QD after rinsing the car following a wash, then wipe over with a drying towel, it dries to a really nice shine with no smears.
Love it mate. Isn't this kind of full circle for you, seem to remember you had a MK1 ages ago as a first car or something like that?
I'd keep it as it is, looks great. Owning old retro french hatches is where it's at.
Btw that's got less rust than my PH1 which is 5 years newer lol.
Ordered a gen Reno oil filter off eBay that said for 172/182/197, didn't bother checking before whether they were all compatible (daft I know)
Question is, do they all take the same size filter? The one that's come through looks tiny, like really shallow in size.
Cheers,
Alex
I agree with Dave in that it's not as easy as some make out but if you persist and work out to apply pressure to the right places (where the clips are) it comes out easily enough eventually.
That was exactly the same issue with my nut key. It was rusted to f**k too and just rounded off when I tried to turn it with my breaker bar.
105e, my locking nut didn't look like that though. Took it to national tyres and the lad there said it looked like ones fitted to Pug/Cit rather than the...
