On my pH1 172, the front passenger seat is stuck on the rail and will not slide either any further forward or back.
What could this be and how do I sort it?
Help appreciated,
Thanks,
Alex
Good man, you know it makes sense.
Well it doesn't really on an old car that's not worth much, but it kinda does :o
I threw £580 at mine over summer too - new belts, dephaser and top engine mount...If that makes you feel any better.
Personally I don't think it will ever be worth vastly more...but I'm confident it won't lose any money.
In ten years time I reckon that would be worth more definitely, a good example of any 80's hot hatch seem to fetch upwards of £3k.
I think I'm gonna do similar with my PH1, not in the hope...
Yeah, turns out from the comments on the article that this is the exact same car, lol.
PH1s are bargains now, I paid close to a grand for mine and it's been cool, not worth paying much more IMO.
As per the title guys,
Put my passenger side window down this morning and when I flicked the switch up, it just made a noise like it was trying to do something, but wouldn't. After a cold drive to work ive managed to pull the window up with my hands so that it's at least shut. The thing will...
Love the pepperpot wheels. Trying to scan a pic I dug out of my old dears from back in 87, it's the old phase 1 shape though, yours looks much better.
Whats the mrs think?
Looks great mate! Look forward to seeing this unfold.
My Mum had two ghias as company cars back in the day, a 1.4 older shape on a C and a red one just like you'd bought on an 89 G. Love looking back at pics of them.
Do they still drive well, I know you said the first one is a bit of a nail...
Sounds like we've got similar thoughts when it comes to how to keep a car then! Sounds good, I'm sure it will thank you for it and give you many miles of happy motoring.
I think mechanically, these PH1's are pretty built built (the interior rattles and creaks like a proper french car should...
It's hard to capture the wheels well in pics. They really have sharpened the car up a lot and make it look a lot meaner. I personally think the car looked a tad dated before and the dark wheels have modernised it a bit.
The car is my daily for work now and does over 300 miles a week; it's now...
Thankyou sir, agreed, Xmas meet again like 2009? Had my little 1.2 back then :)
The badges were already like that when I got the car mate so I thought I'd do the wheels to tie in...slightly expensive logic I know!
I've always ran standard silver wheels on all my cars so fancied doing...
After I got it back from having its belts done, I decided to give the engine bay a tidy up with some silver VHT paint and a general clean up and dress:
Along the way I've replaced a few more bits including a new air filter, a new top engine mount (genuine Renault) and a polybushed dogbone...
Been a member on here for 4 years, owned 4 cars in that time and tinkered with them all but never bothered to put up a project thread so far.
Here goes then, had been wanting a Renaultsport Clio right since a young age. Finally I got one in Feb this year, perhaps not as tidy as I'd have liked...
Looks great in the first pic, so compact and sporty!
Love the old skool intentions of these; small, revvy engine, light and great handling - No huge spec list, kerb weight and need for 200bhp turbo engine here.
I remember about 10 yrs back when young drivers were all about throwing on a set of 17's on their cheap old motors. Nowadays the done thing seems to be rocking the steels! Who actually thinks that looks good?!
This is a proper eastern european immigrants car but tbf, with a set of cheap...
