I agree in a way as I got rinsed by a cammed 106 on a straight line when my 106, engine wise, was similar to yours.
On track though it really is a minefield and a different matter altogether, my mate got passed in his vts by a Dci Clio and he wasn't even doing badly do it just goes to show...
Wouldn't bother with cams personally. Got a good engine set up there with the breathing mods, if your a good driver you'll could probably pass a cammed one on track
Hi,
the alcantara inserts are a bit grubby on my PH1 172 (not my grubby arse I might add as I use a seat cover!)
Could someone please reccomend me a good alcantara cleaner. I seem to remember a Raceglaze one being well reccomended but can't remember if that's right.
Needs to be...
Alright wind your neck in. I said that with your other mk1 project in mind so I hadn't completely lost my marbles.
Once you start spending big moneys it can be easy to get carried away as u see on here so many times.
The respray is a good move for sure.
Dan, I love this. Please keep on track with it and don't end up ripping it apart and turning it into one of those monster projects that never gets finished!
Respray, then just general maintenance and keeping it original will see a fine car. Don't see many of these near to standard on good nick...
Alright mate, it's Alex. That sounds like your sump gaurd mate, held on by 4 10mm bolts. I'd try and pick one up second hand off one that's being broken on here, Renault will probably charge you the earth for it, even though it's just a big lump of plastic.
I'd go for second hand on here personally. New you're looking at about £160 odd from Kam Racing!
Stick with the wheels mate, once the ride heights sorted like E110T's, it will look mint!
The justifications for changing car get more and more baffling!
And how on earth has this diverted onto Gally and his car yet again?
This place is becoming dire.
I'm running HID's but otherwise bog standard if that helps...I caught a glimpse of yours from the other side of the Orbital island last night as you were going the other way.
Ah nice, saw that PH1 at FCS. Not a typical girlfriend's car is it lol
It might have been me, I passed you just by Orbital island later on in the evening about 9ish, but was creeping about Longford at one stage! It wasn't very clean though...
W752 WTR is my plate.
Saw this about last night, I was just making my exit from the orbitals having had a good tussle with a black Type-R, hope you dusted it after for me ;)
If this is of any use to anyone I removed the TDC sensor, cleaned it up, refitted and the car started back up first time!
For the long term is it advisable to buy a new sensor, I'm worried it may let me down again at an inopportune time.
Excuse me for potentially sounding thick but how is a full rear coilover set up fitted to a Clio, when the rear damper and spring are normally seperate on them?
