If all else fails you can dissable the immobiliser by taking the top dash off(5 Torx bolts)and join up the red and yellow wires of the fuel pump and starter which are interupted by the immobiliser. My car was off the road for two weeks when I had problems with my Cobra alarm/immobiliser!
Went into reno today and spoke to a technician and he told me it is possible to fit the 1 piece rear box without dropping the axle, but you have to put the car on a ramp so you can hold the exhaust vertical, and manouver it until its fits through the gap, this is the only position it will clear...
BobRTE, did you try this method on your RT or on a williams? as mybe they have different size exhausts and a bit more space to get the pipe through. But the thought did cross my mind about jacking the car up more but came to the conclusion it wouldnt work, but seeing you say it does work ill...
Phoned reno today and they said that they only list one part number for the box, so hes going to reorder it and see what turns up( hopefully a two piece!).
If they only sell the one piece rear boxes how do they expect you to fit it?
Yeah i jacked it right up as far as my trolly jack would go, took the spare wheel off and a few other bits but still had no where near enough space to get it through. I thought it said in the haynes manual that these one piece boxes were fitted at factory from new and had to be cut to get them...
Bought a standard back box for my williams from reno and cant get to fit through the gap over the rear axle. The pattern part I had before came in two bits so why have they given me this, i cant believe they would have given me the wrong part as i gave them my oval plate code. is there a way of...
Does seem strange that your car let go at a much lower speed than youve been round the same corner before, only thing I can think of is mabe one of your tyres was low on presure. I had this once on a rear right tyre but didnt notice until going round a left bend at normal speed the back end let...
Mabe it had nitrous fitted, this would explane why after he got to the roundabout he darted off because he knew he wouldnt be able to repeat his performance.

Trog, when they did your wheels did they use the original colour or was it the nearest match? They look golder than mine, but mine are a bit dirty so dificult to say for sure.

Mine arn;t in that bad condition really as theve been refurbished in the past, but the original wheels have the outer rim alloy colour and mine have been toally sprayed gold, so I was going to take off the paint from there and laquar over it, plus theres a few places where its just starting to...
Im not talking about the track rod outer ball joints(which connects the track rod to the hub) ! I mean the inner ones (which connect the track rod to the rack), anyway to confusing for this time of night.
