does Twin TB mean they come with linkage or just bare TB?
btw. Dont You think that it may be wise to use TB w/out injector mount, and retain original in-head injector position?

ok here is what is in JC5014 - original williams box:
main shaft - 1st gear - 34 cogs
2nd - 41
3rd - 37
4th - 35
on the primary shaft:
5th - 39
this is renault info... i mean original renault service computer programme

I know of some guy who has JC5 - from 172 in valver - don;t know if it fits straight away though. prob. you would need to change this metal lump - top mount...
setting cams a bit forward will result in better low end with loss in top... retarding will result in opposite- you lose low end...
verniers are quite useful - for instance you can try to make two setups on RR - one for daily driving - with some more low end, and for races or somethnig other...
so this means that F7R or 2,1 (forget about thickness of block) pistons wont do it in bored but otherwise standard (size,stroke-wise) F7P bottom end. This means they are lower - yes? Renault can;t give me any answer... :(
virtually any JB3 g.box fits.
you can also try fitting Clio II 1.6 16v box. it misses three (afaik) bolt holes, and has smaller bearing - meaning it can last for shorter period, but these ,because theyre newer, are often in better cond. (not sure about the speedo cable output) - JC5 from new...

what if I wanted to fit lets say F7R williams or 2.1 litre prima pistons to normal 1.8 16v?
do they differ in height - meaning i must use longer stroke to get compression?
or can I fit (esp. 2.1litre ones) w/out enlenghtening the stroke?
afaik TD box has completely different casing :) no... in fact i am sure.. as i have one ;) it misses three bolts, and you have nicee big gap between box and block.
JB3 028 - this is the number for 19 TD...
it is supossed to have longer gears. 2nd goes up to ca 75mph...

1. Would the friction causing that 1/10th be caused by the driveshaft being dodgy?
prob. the brake... should check it. doesnt have to be warped though... it can just be some rust or whatever... but check it
