If your local engineering supplies doesn't have a helicoil kit then it's time to move house.
1 is an option but unless you're machining it (which I doubt) then I wouldn't attempt it personally.
Maybe try and re-tap the M10 thread first if you can get a secondary tap in the correct pitch.
It runs down under the rear bench, onto the floor and along the interior sill trim. Then into the engine bay through the bulkhead in the passenger footwell I think?
Yeah I had a 182 for three and a half years prior to the 200. The 200 is a massive improvement over the 182 in lots of ways. More refined, more solid, much more of a car and less of a toy, as I felt the 182 was.
RUK have taken the 197 (which is/was a brilliant car in it's own right) and...
Yeah give it beans and cry at the MPG, lol ;)
Best performance/economy isn't achieved until around 1500/2000miles I believe (where I''m at in mine now).
Oh and the exhaust note is meant to improve after a few thousand miles too :)
Generally yes, but it's debateable over whether it actually serves any purpose.
My dealer told me to 'give it hell' and get everything working hard and upto temp as quickly as possible!
The official advice in the manual is a 3.5K limit for 625 miles.
I think the central locking receiver as such is contained either in the ECU or the UCH on the ph2.
Someone more technically minded can probably confirm. :)
;)
The UCH controls all none essential electrical items, such as central locking and headlights. It is coded to the ECU so swap one and without 'decoding' the ECU you need to swap the UCH too I believe?
Cornering lights are definitely worth it in my eyes. Much more of an improved look at the front end.
Also, you don't get passenger airbag deactivation with Recaro's. Not sure why though?
I think if you swapped everything (locks, ignition, ECU, UCH) then it should work, but it couldn't be guaranteed as I'm not sure if the looms differ at all.
The people that are talking of cancelling their orders can't without losing thier deposits so I'd take it with a pinch of salt.
If you read the small print on the order you will see that RUK actually have 28days AFTER the estimated date of delivery to provide you with a car. Only after that...
Running in is officially 625 miles, very precise I know!
Mine doesn't have the rear tints nope, personally I think the amout Renault charge for them is extortionate and couldn't justify it.
I don't think it's that simple on the 200 mate ;)
I looked into it beforehand, but decided against it as the bumper is meant to be a pain to re-fit afterwards.
