Whats the reg of the car?
It's safe to drive for short distances as I drove mine back from the Trafford centre (about an hour) with the MAP buggered.
O2 fault will make it run rich/lean so could foul the plugs but nothing major.
Cheers for the advice, got it done in the end. Put the wheel back on and dropped it to the ground, loosened the nut then jacked it back up.
Simple really :)
I presume you're in Scunthorpe from the name? If you were closer I'd have a look at it for you but I'm pretty sure it's probably the MAP sensor.
I got a second hand one for about £30 and it takes literally 10 minutes to change. Has to be worth it if not just to eliminate it.
The main thing that will be affected (AFAIK) will be the camber so long as you don't remove the struts to adjust them. This could result in increased tyre wear, but to be honest I doubt it would amount to much, if anything at all.
Need to clear some stuff that I've collected over the years :o
Linky. Deals can be negotiated if you want more than one item, just PM me with what you want :)
Disconnecting the battery would make it undriveable anyway :S
If removing the hazard switch doesn't work then it must be something more serious than just the switch that's knackered.
Does everything else electrically work ok on the car?
Saw this today, quite rightly parked near me, in the faaaaar reaches of the Asda carpark where no other idiots will park ;)
58 plate and looked well, was about 3pm I guess.
Escellent news on the CC Mike :approve:
Gutted about the other probs though, is the ABS light not on also as that would signify brake pedal switch problem?
I doubt the airbag ring would affect ESP to be honest.
They project the correct pattern, OE fitted HID's will have to meet the same requirements as normal filament lamps inorder to be classed raodworthy.
Aftermarket HID's don't unfortunately.
Yeah caused me some headaches that bloody MAP sensor, lol!
This is my thread, symptoms sound very similar. Ignore the diesel confusion, that was soon eliminated.
