Hmmm could be a top bearing issue then, you no means of whipping the strut off to give it a once over?

Ah yeah - didn't spot that in the last sentence. Definitely sounds like a suspension issue, have you checked the top mounts to check nothing has worked loose?

Lol @ YS vs Milltek brigade! Who cares, both great exhaust and both highly rated on here. YS seem somewhat easier to get hold of new and at least have a point of contact on these forums. Milltek are all secondhand I believe, meaning no new ones will ever be made??

Look under the car and check your spring is still seated correctly. Pop the bonnet and check the top mount is still tight. Have you had any work done on that side of the car recently? You on standard suspension with Eibach's Stuart?

Glad you're happy with them - very easy to fit once we'd located the missing rear bump stop ;) Seem good quality from what I've seen today and bar the colours, appear to be exactly the same as my K-Tec setup. Anybody need an acoustic valve?? lol ;)

Could be a loose heatshield, loose exhaust clamp/bracket. Is it from the wheels, driveshaft or suspension? Front or rear of car?

My emissions light came on depending on how long I ran the car for - sometimes it was on - sometimes it wasn't. I changed the front O2 sensor first to no avail.

;) J - I ran mine to get it home and had it outside my house idling it from time to time trying out various solutions. The only thing besides the MAP that I ended up buggering was the sparkplugs. Oh and you'll use a shed load of fuel!

Most will check for this very reason. Some will just ask and as long as you reply 'yes' then they're happy. Either way, not good! Still, should be able to make a few quid from breaking it!

I do not know how they can ever inforce this - I mean how many Joe Bloggs out there would actually know whether or not their car had 'optional extras'. Reg plate = done, it's how it left the factory.

My car was mapped for V-Power (98 Ron) so I try and use that now but it's not always possible as I've got about a 7 mile drive to the nearest Shell garage :dapprove: I think V-Power made a difference in my car, even before it was mapped.

The gearbox will fit too, with work. If I remember correctly, Fred proved this point by fitting one ;)
