At rest I think anything up around 14volts. When started I guess somewhere around 12volts.
Don't quote me on that though. Post your findings and we'll go from there.
Yeah if the immobiliser light goes out ok then it's not that.
Do you not have access to a voltage meter of any kind? Garages should be able to check it if not.

Just for info - I had my drivers seat replaced many moons ago, under warranty, and they couldn't match it to the passengers either. I refused to accept it and they replaced my passenger seat too.

Renowned for loose connections at the rear of the dials - this is a dash off job to check though.
The trip resetting is possibly a battery issue - get that tested and go from there.
It isn't the brake pedal switch if the ABS light doesn't come on too.
Chris - yours sounds (obviously) like an ESP issue. The obvious thing is the switch, but doubt that'd bring on the Serv light too.
Get it on diag would be my advice (or find someone with an RS Tuner).
