i had a similar predicament at the time of buying between 80 DCI and 1.6 16 altho more torque....... got the 1.6 on the cheap - and quicker so naaah to the dci test drove a DCI and yes it FELT quickish (not as quick as 1.6) but just didnt satisfy you red lining it at what 5k revs? lol

is that real carbon or carbon effect?

or it also works if u just hold the button in and turn the ignition on....... then to turn it off turn the key back

its not the reset button? just hold the botton on the end of the windscreen wiper stalk and turn the ignition on

i dont see the problem with sitting in the middle lane when no1 is around - i drove most of the way to london and around the ring road in the middle lane thro the night as it was only lorries and speeding motorists who can go in the fast lane anyway - plus the slow lane gets cut up by lorries...

just go to halfords and get some exhaust paste (hardens when it gets hot) and wack it over any holes u find (may look messy but easier than taking the thing apart)
