The 3 secs reference is the 0-100 time of the 172 that was mentioned above was it not like 19 secs to 100? Which seems way off considering the other times! Did you not see the ;)

See the weight you keep on refering to is this the made up weight renault gave for the mark 1 and mark 2? You are sadly mistaken if you think a standard mark 1 with no spare will beat a Cup or even match it. Cup wont destory it but if both lined up side by side and floored at same time Mark 1...

Good results nice to know my Cup will be faster than that when run in.:D But a good 3 secs quicker to 100 :D;)

Those wheels really suit the 172 nice choice.

Think they have been tested at low 7s to 60.

My cup will do about 32 when im giving it some and I also reset it when I went for a little drive @ 50 mph in 5th for 10 mins and averaged about 50 mpg+ Not sure how accurate it is?

Give it 200 miles to let brakes bed in then start giving it some! Thats what I did and im now on 1600 miles and its flying. I wouldnt pussy foot about with a new 172/Cup.

Did I say that? A cup will pull away from a mark 1 even with the spare removed as the mark 1 weighs 1093-1100 kgs. Tested on a weight bridge with no driver and a full tank of petrol.

What does that mean? Do you really think your car could beat a 15.0 1/4 mile @ 95 mph? Because EVO tested ONE mark 1 @ 6.6 or something every mark 1 owner seems to think they are faster than a mark 2 why is that?

When we say sh*t on we mean I have the power to go passed easy, but no like when a 172 races a V6 Vectra or something its still pretty close, and when you throw in corners etc and Teady is getting on power eariler u cant see any difference!

Crail about 2 years was giving some silly readings, remember the guy with the 172 that we spoke to Teady with the 172 he said he was doing 14.5s a coupe of years ago and with the new timing kit cant brake 15.7 or soemthing sh*tty like that!

Nah I believe Teadys times because my pal with a 195 hp/240 lb ft Cupra Ibiza was running 15.0 on the same day which is about spot on for that car if not a touch slow.

I just went out in my Cup and can do about 63 mph in 2nd (cant be 100% but its roughly that) Also had a wee run with Teady and lets just say Ive got a good u! Had to change @ 6500 rpm in 2nd so I wouldnt hit his arse and then when I did put in 3rd I still had to power even tho I didnt rev it to...

Yeah it does really because you wont get UK price when you sell it on, and the UK prices are getting pretty low. If I were buying your car I would want it for 2000 less than a UK price used 172 because thats how much less you paid.

Because the Cup is something special its handling is so much better than a 172 (remember b4 anyone bites my head off my bros got a 172 so we have compared) and its just got this special feel about it (lol) The colour and wheels also turn a few heads as well. If the 172 costed 13k and the Cup...

Id pay MORE for a Cup over a 172 but thats just me, luckily Renault have made the decision sooo much easier.
