If you get them out, copper grease them up before refitting them too.

    Knock sensor, where and how?

As I understand things - the TFW light came on so he booked it in for diag. Diag day came and the light had turned itself off again, put car on diag and it came back with a knock sensor fault. No other codes have been mentioned to me - yet.

    Knock sensor, where and how?

Dave - I know, that's exactly what I said when he first told me the light had come on. He wont listen though as this supposed 'mechanic' has suggested the knock sensor instead. I believe as you say Jordan that the fault may have been logged but it's not linked in any way to the TFW light...

    Knock sensor, where and how?

Thanks guys, this isn't my fault but a lad I know who has a 172 had his toxic fume warning light come on. He's had it to a local Diag place and they've told him it's the knock sensor. Personally, I'm dubious!

    Knock sensor, where and how?

Does the Clio have a Knock sensor and if so where abouts is it? If it failed what would be the symptoms? Would it bring on any warning lights? Cheers.

    Very annoyed!!!

Buy a new one? About £20 each from Renault! My jet wash did this to two of mine over a period of a few weeks! I've learnt my lesson...!

    Brake Fluid Bottle

Possibly...but either way it's still inaccessable down behind the engine. Why it isn't up near the header tank is beyond me.

    Brake Fluid Bottle

Yeah it's a right royal pain mate! The easiest way I found is with using a gloved hand for better grip. I simply could not budge mine this morning with bare hands even though I had removed it only yesterday evening. Also make sure you release the hand brake, I'm not sure if this is...

Engine Management Light Stuck on! Please help!

Yeah, water ingress means water getting in somewhere it shouldn't and possibly corroding the connections in the lights. Check for rust etc this will be a dead giveaway. I am in lancashire myself, you're a little far from me - was asking as often if you're close it's easier to have a look than...

    Thinner/Modded front number plate

Re: Thinner/Moded front number plate www.fancyplates.com can't remember the exact width dimensions but it all depends on how many digits your plate has. The height of the plate is just 22mm greater than a standard digit. Haven't altered the rear plate...yet...am undecided about that one...

    New Exhaust?

Haven't had either system so can't comment on those but there is a YozzaSport group buy on at the moment which gives a good saving. I have the YozzaSport system and can't fault it. It is noisy though so if you plan to decat it, it will be very noisy!

    Oil consumption advice needed...

A Clio 182 holds just over 5 litres of oil. 1 litre is quite alot to use in such a short distance. How do you know it's 'out of oil'??

Engine Management Light Stuck on! Please help!

billy - replace it. How much was it out of curiosity? Stacy - where abouts in the UK are you? The creaking definitely sounds suspension related, but it could be a few things as previously stated. The fog/indicator/light flashing thing is water ingress or possibly a bad earth behind the...
