Yeah that's the way I was thinking Roy.
Will have a check in the morning and see how it looks.
Anyone any idea how much a new caliper will be from renault? I've heard £140 mentioned?
Haha, yeah I thought about that yesterday when I first noticed it! Can you believe that's over a year ago now!
And nope, renault MOt'd it the following week and found nothing! lol!
Dave - had seen that site previously but to be honest I'd rather just go down the new caliper route as I...
Yeah have cleaned it up Has and to be honest the leak isn't even visible until you have the brakes in bits so I'll probably leave it until after the MOT as everything is shut today :dapprove:
If it fails on it then I'll just have to let Renault do their worst!
Addz - do you do delivery?
Just changed the rear pads on the 182 today and discovered a very small leak from the rear N/S piston, now my dilemma is that the car is going in for it's MOT on Tuesday so I need this replacing ASAP.
I am happy to change it myself but I need a caliper - where from?? Bearing in mind it's Bank...
Guide now up :)
I bought this kit on Friday, haven't used it yet as I haven't got round to fitting my lines :o
Will be giving it a go this bank holiday though - weather dependant!
Buy them from Ktec mate, come complete with new bearings pressed in etc.
I know the rears do very little to be honest but I would not buy that set you've linked to.

Yes, they opened 1st of May, and Sept will be a 59 plate.
Mine is in for it's MOT on Tuesday and quite fancy looking over the 200 if they've got any in!
Cheers :)
Brakes are going on this Saturday hopefully, have everything I need now.
The adjusters on the H&R's are freed now so will be going on shortly also but just need to sort a few things first, one of which is the MOT.
I think "Rip off Renault Stealers" is somewhat over the top. Anyone with half a brain would have known that a dash off job at a dealers would be up in the £80 region due to labour alone.
People on here can undoubtedly do it in 15 minutes, but a receptionist will have to quote 'by the book'...
H&R coilovers would be my choice if money was no option.
They're about £1k brand new, then spend £300 on brakes and £400 on an exhaust. With the change buy an ITG Maxogen - job done.
:)
Forget the Ultra's, wrong offset.
Fit a top notch suspension set up and do the brakes as you say and the car will feel much faster without any engine work :)
Yozza zorst as opposed to the KTR one, there's a group buy offer on here at the moment.
Audio wont aid speed! ;)
It will have set, just some functions will be disabled. Three beeps is the interior sensors from memory, just give it a couple of seconds after closing the door before you arm it.
Same on disarm too.
True, doesn't make your opinion right though ;)
Thanks, I think....? lol!
Agreed, was a doddle to be fair even on jacks outside my house!
Cheers Lee :approve:
This the kind of thing you bought Has?
- where and why?
I think the copper grease is sounding like a bad idea, lol! I'll just use it where the adjusters come to rest I feel...
Cheers for the comments! :)
Alan - shush! ;)
Yeah fitted it myself, took approx 1.5 hours including removing the old system - and that was working off jacks/axle stands!
Very simple system to fit!
