I self declared my Cat 1 but it does have one, believe me! :)
I know people who have imports insured as UK cars and they obviously can't prove the alarm.
Yeah I see the reckoning behind that Ben, but i have never been asked to provide proof. If it's a UK car it will have the alarm, who ever proves the Cat 2 immobiliser? ;)
No proof should be required. If the car is a full UK spec car (not an import) then it WILL have a Cat 1 alarm fitted.
Tell them to check their model specification details.
What is the bonnet cable rubbing on? I would suggest that it just needs repositioning, nothing more.
If the calipers are knackered I would be talking to Renault for definite!
Is your car still under warranty?
Nearside inner rear brake pad wearing thin, only 1 possible warranty, depends on the cause really.
Offside steering rack gaiter deteriorated I would say definitely warranty
Nearside rear shock asorber has a light misting of oil. Warranty
Screw / bolt missing engine cover A few pence from...
Yeah I thought that but didn't want it to just crack over time and drop out? Maybe I'll have to put something on the rear of the bumper for the filler to adhere to first...hmmm... job for this weekend I think! :)

Yes it is compulsory to have a front reg plate!
As for the dimensions I can't remember exactly but mine is still road legal as it has the mandatory 11mm border around the lettering.
If it's the ABS, serv and ESP lights then it's the brake pedal switch as mentioned.
It's a common fault really.
It may need adjusting or it may need a new switch completely.
5 minute job, steering cowl off (top unclips), 2 torx hold stalk on, remove them and fit new stalk. Cowl back on, job done.
Yes it does work, well on the Trophy's anyhow! :D
