ok now im confused :S

i dont know were but i was looking through some other guides and it was telling me different.

so normal beam is H1 and high beam is H7 and the sidelights are 501

So when im ordering the kit i should ask for the H1 bulbs to go with it? as that would be the normal night driving lights?

d1cky i dont know what kind of kit it is, my friends have them and there very good quality, im going for the 8k bulbs as i believe thats the legal limit:)

H1 certainly is the kit to go for, unless you want Hid's/Xenons as your main beam :S

And i've never heard of a legal limit, maybe there is so you don't go too blue.

I have standard 172FF Hid/Xenon lights and have 8000k bulbs in mine but think there too blue.

I'm considering going down to 6000k bulbs for a whiter light output :)

The standard 172/182 Hid/Xenon colour temperature rating is 4300k 9that was the bulbs i took out)

Do not put a hid kit in the standard halogen clusters please, if you want xenons then get the proper clusters. People coming the other way like to see.

Whats up with putting Hid's in standard halogen clusters ?

Does the reflector reflect the light the wrong way or something and cause blindness when heading to them ?

Or are they just not adjustable ?

The halogen clusters are not designed to work with the different wavelengths of light that hid bulbs will produce, hence they do not focus the light properly and scatter the beam. I've seen it done so many times with the saxo/corsa crew and you might as well drive round will your full beam on all the time.

Ah ok i got ya :)

Is that why some chavs corsa's have blinding lights and probably totally illegal ?

Correct most likely because of that yes, and yes they're completely illegal.
