Hi my car have just been they it has passed but several advisory items.
I was wondering if they are covered by warrenty.
Nearside inner rear brake pad wearing thin, only 1
Offside steering rack gaiter deteriorated
Nearside rear shock asorber has a light misting of oil.
Screw / bolt missing engine cover
Cable wearing through nearside front to shock asorber area
Slight corrosion exhuast
Why would only 1 pad wear?

The cable is bonet catch.

Inner pad will be a sticking piston i think, if it was the sliders it would be the outside pad. might be wrong though

Common fault some have had them covered under warranty so you should be fine.

Common fault lol it'll fall off soon!

He took it for an MOT, its passed but was given several advisories and he wanted to query them.

Thank you. Are they under warrenty? Or do i just repair them. My corsa had 4 MOTs and passed 2 failed 2. Failed on exhaust sensor for the first one and head light aim for the 3rd one when i put a bulb in i moved the housing.

If it has been MOT'd doesn't that mean the warranty will have expired anyway?

The cable is bonnet catch. The brakes are caliper sticking. 28K and none of the others are worn bar one. I got the warrenty done a month early due to the car reputation

What is the bonnet cable rubbing on? I would suggest that it just needs repositioning, nothing more.
If the calipers are knackered I would be talking to Renault for definite!

Yes under till 21st March. They said bring it back next Thursday. They also said pads not under warrenty, but hey if all worn even then yes.

just argue it, your brakes are wearing un eaven its obviously a problem (sticking piston)

Mine just passed this morning with "Nearside rear shock asorber has a light misting of oil" as a comment after. Was certain it was going to fail for some reason, so had some good luck for once
