just changed the coil pack to no success, so habe norrowed it down so cant be : spark plugs, ht leads, coil pack.
still thinking it could be a lamba sensor would this cause a miss fire ?
i had a little search and i come up with nothing but,
i have a missfire at idle and light load and done the usual changed the spark plugs, got magancore ht leads.
only thing i havent changed is the coil pack, the injectors or lamba sensor.
i done the on board computer test and it came up with...
I think that's what I'm gonna try is the 197 cams as there isn't really a answer to my question as the rs2 xtra is a bit of a black hole as their isn't many of them about
Mike did say whilst mapping that he thinks the extra would benefit from a set of the 197 cams.
i didn't get a rolling road figure in the end nick due to the maf boss falling off the inlet under load but since has been fixed and had no problems, but still Haven't had a chance to get back up to mike to get the map tweaked and a rolling road figure. Am hoping for mid to high 190s
So had a little search and not found much on what cams will suit my rs2 xtra the best ?
I know the 197 cams are good but they drop the torque figure quite a bit for a few extra bhp, really I wanted to try and keep the torque as high as possible.
Any ideas and suggestions would be great cheers.
i recently fitted my RS2 Xtra and have fitted the anodised plate to the rocker cover to hold the coil pack, so was wondering does little hole on the rocker cover need to covered or blocked as this is normally covered by the inlets ?
cheers
So I have a oreca group A race system for my 172 cup, have done a few laps of the nürburgring and am looking to do more track days in the Uk.
BUT I think my exhaust is way to loud for track even the 105db days I have spoke to a exhaust company in Southampton and the said about fitting a 300mm...
i had this a few weeks ago and turned out to be a seized carrier bolt on the front passenger side released the bolt greased it up and good as new now :approve:
cheers dan so what i have done "should" be correct i connected the black to black and the other two were red and blue so assumed they would go together and keep the the two blacks together ?
i had my mot on Saturday and had a search on here but could only find people saying their rears were locking up,
but mine are the other way the work cause go a reading on 30 on both sides and a reading of 300 on both fronts.
was wondering if anyone had any ideas as to why the rears are pretty...
i wired my slimline fan at the week end i think i've done it correctly,
there are two plugs that go into the standard fan unit, one with 2 wires which plugs into the back of the fan and one with 3 wires which plugs higher up the fan unit.
i assume i have to cut the plug with two wires and...
Ok chip cheers I'm yet to open it right up as Dont want to risk the cost of a engine so will wait for finished mapping. I did get the impression that 'some garages' wernt 100% on mapping the item. I will more than likely wait for mike from mwm to map as he seems to be getting the best results...
Yer I understand this nick the car is getting booked in for mapping in the next week or so, so this will shortly be sorted but I was told the car will run fine and is safe to do so as long as the car is not "driven like its stolen" until mapped.
So fitted it due to this weekend being the only...
this weekend done a few things on the car that needed doing, so started by fitting new rear adjusters to my coilovers to raises the front and rear up 20mm
so am now happy with how the car sits :)
i then set about fitting my new recently purchased Rs2 Xtra and my aero catches
and finished...
Sounds to me as the car has gone into "limp mode" is there a box with a wonky line going through it on the dash ?
I believe that it means there's a electrical fault somewhere I.e a sensor or something.
