ride will be harsh, but for -40mm unless you're tracking the car then i think dampers wouldn't really be needed.

it's a Mk2 Ph2 mate and the door speakers are 13cm or something silly like 5.25 inches.

Mine is DAZ 2427 which I have spaced as DAZ24 27 and I've never been pulled for it. Some get away with it, others don't. I think it's mainly number/letter alteration that really pisses off the police. :rasp:

some varying views in here... I have the following; Sony headunit with 2 x pre outs feeding 2 (small) amps in the boot. Front uprated door speakers are fed direct from H/U along with the OE tweeters. My rear (uprated) doorcard speakers are fed from 1 of the amps in the boot. Then I have a set...

true, but ow do you remove the bumper if unable to gain access to engine bay ;) personally i would say get it up on ramps then look up the front of the engine from underneath and see if you can reach the remains of the release cable and give it a good yank?
